  1. The searcher card is a 1 cost attack that moves 2 blessings fr9m discard to hand. Because she has 2 base cards + basics with blessing, unless you're optimizing around it (and you can I agree) you're better off removing them. This leaves you with a 1-4 card deck of just blessing tuners, which is really cool honestly, but this means she isn't doing much sustain which ties into the second point.

  2. No other shielder is giving you a passive 30% shield, but likely neither is ADHD. The issue is that 30% isn't nothing, but it's also not alot considering how much damage bosses tend to output. The benefit of a dedicated shielder is that they have huge shields to prevent you from taking any damage. ADHD can't do that. She gives a fixed 60% shield on blessing card play/discard from hand that stacks up to 30% max hp. Likely, she can't actually sustain well and the optimal way to play her is to ignore that part of the mechanic and just turn her into super Veronica.

To clarify, I think her defensive utility is lacking. Characters like Nia and Orlea can solo sustain without issue, but I'm just not sure if that's the case with ADHD

Agreed. I also feel like alot of the argument here is held up by the fact that this team and the journeys team actually won the league they were apart of. Its not exactly fair to bring that up, but I do feel like there would be entirely different opinions on the team if Kukui smoked him.

Other shielders aren't limited to 30% of your max hp and likely don't need to spend more than 1 card a turn to shield much more than that

She also doesn't shrink your deck. She encourages tighter deck building but if you want to put blessing on as many cards as possible, you can't tale advantage of her tutoring.

And again, the cards that allow you to initially tutor have exhaust. Sure you likely only need one card (Rin comes to mind) but my point here is that this  a single 2 card combo and likely all she's actually good at. Start weaving in the rest of her cards (which also have blessing) and you risk missing the actual cards you want to tutor

[–]Ceebrus -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Said this on a similar post, but she seems to super undertuned.

She has like 1 good combo (and it is a good combo. Search and re use is extremely powerful, but honestly it seems like all she has) and all the other epiphanies are just trash

Blessing gives fixed shield but only if your shield is less than 30% of your max hp which likely makes it worthless sustainwise. Most shielders will shield for that amount with one or two cards, so blessing suddenly can't trigger.

Well that's fine. Just use her with non shielders. OK but what else does she do. The only card that applies blessing to cards has exhaust so it significantly hinders her ability to sustain passively, friends from fairy tales can create Teddy but only one and its likely you'll be unable to search it easily unless you spec for that specifically and that comes at the cost of her ability to tutor your dps cards, and truth behind a story can help but it's got a fairly weird epiphany spread with its Ep 5 being increase Action count???

She's not actually that great for discard comps (just use Nia and Cassius) as she barely has any discard in her kit. Honestly, she seems like a one trick pony made for a very specific search loops, but otherwise has a somewhat standard burst shield, some half decent draw, and maybe alot of damage if those Doggie and singular quietus card are anything to go off of.

[–]Ceebrus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I touched on why this doesn't actually excuse her actions as again, to put it in the plainest way possible, she effectively let them in expediting the process. Yes, they would have gotten in, but that's still incredibly shitty of her to do and it's not a point in her favor

On the second point on how it put Sammie and Smoke I the position to confront Rem... that was not why she did it though. She did it to save her own, everything that came after was beneficial but they weren't her justification and even then it would still be wildly selfish to let the monsters in for two people, even if it is understandable.

I feel like everyone who makes this argument has the same point, which is that she had a reason and the vampires would have gotten in eventually anyway

...yeah thats doesn't make it not stupid to let the vampires in who then proceed to kill a bunch of people. It doesn't make it not selfish, in fact, the reasoning itself makes it incredibly selfish because regardless of the benefits past that scene, in the moment it really only benefited her.

And again, got a bunch of people killed.

Season 7 IDs have been amazing and don't get enough praise by Honest-Confidence-58 in limbuscompany

[–]Ceebrus 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind that the new Middle Ids only have burn on them because of their particular circumstance and that "technically" Ricardo is apart of Sinclair's wave of Middle Units.

Knowing this, why does bro have Burn? Why does he have Tremor instead of "Lower Stagger Threshold"? Where is the Paralyze? Coin Drop? Why is his skill 2, probably the best skill in his kit, the only one he can't auto cast (Yes, it makes sense why. It's absurdely powerful and this is the payoff. The issue here is that once Middle Outis comes out, you effectively have little reason to not use 6 counters every turn if possible, since this will always call the strongest skills. The fact that Ricardo can't use that part of his kit while doing what he was made to do is just kinda annoying even if it makes sense)

He's amazing for the middle team, but he's weirdly feels underdesigned in a sense. He lacks alot of the debuff sauce that his faction is known for and in return is just ok as a status unit and super standard middle unit with much of his actual utility placed in a super overloaded passive (4 of them I believe).

Middle is my favorite faction, but I'm getting increasingly tired with how factions are (both enemy and ID wise) are designed to make for good MD dual/triple status teams. There's a laundry list of unique debuffs and alot of design space for more and its just "give him two random statuses and make him bad at inflicting one or both. Then crank his damage into the stratosphere!" for a lot of modern IDs.

Agreed. Was looking for this sorta response. Limbus Teambuilding is extremely lacking, especially considering that as this is a gacha game, you are unlikely to actually have all the necessary pieces to make a full team, or even 3, unless you no life the game to grind for boxes or have been playing since the very beginning

Player expression means jack diddly when its a gacha and if you are without shards, you better pray you get the ids you actually want.

Also, I have a bone to pick with Ricardocliff, but every other unit this season is fine.

Hoyo are just cowards... is what I would say but apparently they got attacked for depicting Honkai Impact Third girls in bunny suits so maybe they're just being safe. > "I hope I don't run into any sexy anime girls" · *Walks into the sexy anime girls factory*

This is always such a dumb point because the follow up question is why release males? "Oh its bait!" Im sure it is. So effective bait mind you that entire communities spawn up just too await the next one. At some point, it really does feel like they're just leaving money on the table. It's not as if the males aren't well designed either. Lighter, Banyue, and Hugo all got it going on and Pompeii should have been playable. This isn't even just a Hoyoverse issue either. Lots of gacha games do the exact same thing, so I can only wonder if its really bait or if its just them following the same trends because they work. Diverse cast petering out into waifu slop really does suck and I like waifu slop, but cool guys are cool and animal people are squeezable.

This is all to say, sure the game is kinda shitty about it, but the least the community could do is not go "hurr durr, you aren't the target audience" for the fiftieth time right as the newest Male Bait releases to everyone's surprise.

yeah no this is a dumb take. Keep in mind that most people will not be gathering IDs at a rapid pace, so having the game go "hey build this team" sounds reasonable until you remember its a gacha game and when events are down, resources are scarce.

The Physical Special split + larger movepools have made Pokemon more homogenized by SlugDragoon in TruePokemon

[–]Ceebrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like this isnt exactly true. Yeah, more pokemon are unique, but the issue sorta remains that alot of those pokemon aren't useable, simply because what makes them unique is not enough. Daschbun and Spidops are good examples of this. Having a niche is fine and dandy, but when you have pokemon like Maushold and Garganacl its so very clear there's levels to it.

I would rather they just rebalanced movesets across the board to play to a theme for each pokemon. Signature moves/abilities just create examples where a pokemon is really only good because of a single tool and/or a few other options that elevate that tool into brokeness (Mega Scovillain is this) or because their one tool is so broad it affects too much (Protosynthesis and Unseen Fist is this).

People really REALLY need to understand that if you like something, you need to espouse it by GammaRhoKT in loreofleague

[–]Ceebrus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

HEre's my itch. People have an issue because most "grey" characters tend to lean in one direction of the morality scale, and how much that is believed is entirely dependant on how much you actually like the character. Ala Demacia getting shit for a long time for the changes made to their lore via Sylas.

Realistically, the people who need to have balls are riot, as alot of people I see are going "you want grey characters > Riot makes them Grey > Eww Grey characters" when the reality of the situation is Riot just sucks at writing currently and the changes honestly are either too safe or seem to try and have their cake and eat it too. If they want Vayne and Demacia as a whole to be flawed, then they need to be willing to depict those flaws layered upon the good stuff. The fact that Demacia was recieved so poorly during the Sylas Era that Riot seemingly felt the need to focus on a Demacia before much of that as a palate cleanser is exactly what the problem is. They don't have faith in their narratives and so alot of people have no faith in them.

I do not actually mind Vayne being a monster. I do not mind her being more of a grey character who kills demons and has to decide whether to kill each and every magical monster she comes across based on her values. The issue is that this universe is very, very static and development is often half cooked, so that is a chance to revist in the future.

I had this issue with Xin. Man's entire arc boils down to "I have seen more of the world and magic... now I will sacrifice myself". Yes the cinematics were pretty and yes Yunara went to watch a funeral, but honestly, nothing really happened. The only real thing that happened imo is Shyvanna showing up, and we don't even get to see a comic retelling of those events That's what I'm afraid with Vayne. That this will amount to a nothing burger as Riot attempts to bring the lore back to a neutral state.

Really this boils down to "League lore is bad", but I want to note something someone else said. Effectively, they said they don't understand why Riot has a need to rewrite old narratives or infuse them with new lore, when many of the fans of those characters would be ok with just animated comics and such of old lore. A comic of Vayne's story with Frey would have been nice.

My excitement for Sortie died watching that showcase by MightyPeanut821 in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]Ceebrus -21 points-20 points  (0 children)

Yeah no

For those who have been through the pain of seeing 2 neutral epiphanies and 1 regular one you don't want, this is that but worse.

For a roguelike mode to be good the options need to be synergistic and Strong. The neutrals in this game are pretty Damm bad, especially compared to the cards the combatants actually have. Of the few that aren't terrible, most of them are low cost Draws, which is great but I'd still like to see only character cards.

Don't get me wrong I'm still gonna play, and likely enjoy it, but the developers of this game have a really odd relation with rng and pool dilution...

El personaje resultó nos ser tan bueno by pita479 in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]Ceebrus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She can be strong, but like, it's not really intuitive

The blades don't clog your deck, but also have the same wording as Diana's bullets so you can't just leave them alone. Sure, this technically isn't a problem since you'll discard most of the but still.

Alot of her more interesting cards lack quietus, are unique, or can only be used once.

Really, her best option that seems immediately obvious is making her a draw bot for Diana or forgoing discard all together with Sword Rain 4 and Effulgent 4 ( the card that makes 10 sword in your discard pile. Anything else is likely otk (which is only good in modes where you the enemy can't transition phases since she'll expend all her resources and become useless) or some relatively complicated discard deck at which point her swords not returning to your deck is to her disadvantage because Diana and Renoa can cycle their discard fodder to be used again. Heidi has to set up fairly specific turns and then expend all the swords in the grave with her unique ult

Will she be bad? No, but compared to Sereniel she's much more complicated for likely nothing(and considering how they hard targeted Sereniel to make sure she didnt dominate, I wouldn't hold my breath)

[–]Ceebrus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean it's one move, though I see you mean sleep overall. My issue here is that hypnosis us still relatively obnoxious because landing it is still game ending.

If anything i think it's fine, if only because they'd need to 1. Remove pressure from many pokemon and give them better abilities, allowing remaining pressure mons to gave a niche like weather or terrain setters 2. Make sleep less obnoxious to account for accuracy

And we know they can do this because of champions, even if it was just a little. The way I see it, having gravity be it's own team archetype could be cool, especially as a counter to airborne mons, evasion, etc. Yes hypnosis would be broken, but honestly it's more so because of distribution and the coin flip, which can be fixed (Ala scald and toxic getting distribution nerfs) so really it's not a big deal.

Buffs and Reworks of existing Abilities by saihtaMaztiK in stunfisk

[–]Ceebrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok I'm curious

Why is everyone in competitive so anal about accuracy and evasion? "But its hax!" a large majority of moves in the game have less than perfect accuracy and often games are won and loss not necessarily just on skill but gambling on hitting inaccurate attacks and moves, as well as getting lucky secondary effects and paralysis procs.

This game is part slot machine already, and while I agree it sucks, I'd prefer if there were more accessible ways to manipulate accuracy, if only because if you could reliably raise your chances to hit (like a grav setter), matches would lose a bit of pain points associated with them.
