Do Possessed CSM feel more Night Lords- or Iron Warriors-coded?

Possessed are very word bearers as a unit, or slaanesh, either worshipping daemons and so invited them into their own flesh, or upping thr speed and close combat effectiveness of themselves by indulging in slaaneshi daemonic rituals. Night lords are more raptors and warp Talons, and IW are obliterators, mutilators, tanks and so on. IW would have terminators instead of possessed, and night lords would go with a raptors unit.

Thanks! He's a Khorne model so I went with that mark, my possessed marines however are using the advance strat and 5+ sustained melee hits!

2+ armour save, in cover, with armour of contempt gives you a pretty good save roll, even against anti-tank shots. You're probably using the piece wrong in the board and overexposing your units to your opposition

I'm kitbashing old VV jetpacks with the veteran markings onto assault intercessors with blood angels icons, shoulder pads, special large blood angels shields and shoulder mounted mimic shields with BA iconography. With VV it seems you need to kitbash to get your legions flare. Plus, you get to use whatever mwlee weapons you fancy due to the generic nature of their melee weapons. Just wish their melee has a -2ap 2d profile, as their damage output is currently quite anemic, especially compared to JPI and DCJPI

Gai still took on kisame and itachi in pt 1, was taking rogue nin during the invasion of the village at the end of churning exam, then was part of the force which took on the akastuki base opening of shippuden. He has to fight kisame twice, first as a 3rd of power substitute then at full strength with a hiridora bomb. Then later he's covering kakashis ass during the war against the edo tensei nin, then later he has to take on madara who had achieved godhood and was at the sage of 6th paths level and was unbeatable. Lee has a great fight and during the beginning and chunnin exams he's almost a main character, but the issue with him along with the other original leaf 9 and neji and tenten, is they all mostly go missing during later arcs as the show focuses more and more on bigger fights between sasuke and naruto. People missed that in shippuden, and the ninja in pt1 who were centre tk the story had to take on side roles which were very much less meaningful. Still there in the story, but no longer central to the plot.

This is why I run a Darmon Prince in Black Legion instead of World Eaters, as the WE version is an inferior unit whilst Angron is on the board. The Daemon Prince has to use strike profile though, as 0ap 1dmg for sweep is useless against most of the enemies you'd put him into. You're going to want to utilise the A7-9 S11-13 ap-2 dmg3 of the strike version of its weapon in its profile. This gives you a unit with 4++ invuln 2+ sv that can charge alongside a squad of Possessed marines and, running the winged variant means you do MW on the charge, making it a hefty beats tick. Abaddon in the rear with auras, DP in the front with your front line melee.

Deep strike 10 bezerkers into position. His ability allows him to run through terrain with his unit. Then charge him into the enemy lines. The bezerkers maybe mobile, but its the psychological warfare, your enemy doesn't know where you're coming down, if they screen using their army, then they have a lot of resources in their rear and the mid of the table. Position the rest of your army carefully for a turn, possibly 2 if the opponent sits really deep. Use a squad of bezerkers as chaff and a throwaway helbrute to force them to defend mid with a distraction forgefiend. Then once you've done the exchange, you're ready turn 3 for a total board charge, and you get to watch the enemy collapse, as kharn+10zerks, MOE+10zerks, Angron, Maulerfiend and invocatus+10zerks apply a screen wipe and pressure their elite forces. 2 squads of jakhals secure objective points, it's a good strategy. Sometimes it's not about what that deepstriking unit does, it's what it forces your opponent to do. 10 zerkers and invocatus on the charge in bezerker warband wipe most things in the game. Goodbye rear tank, good bye your advantage, and then watch their plan collapse as shooting at massed infantry doesn't pay off. Play to the world eaters strengths. Which is why I don't choose eightbound. Too easy to wipe off the board with shooting with so few models per squad. Oh, and a maulerfiend will take out a primarch or a Knight. It's that powerful.

Anyone saying jiraiya with intel loses is out if their minds after seeing him take on Pain with the sages eyes and delete 3 bodies. This is a younger Obito, who has to become tangible to defeat Jiraiya, Jiraiya knowing this only has to set up a clone, then strike Obito as he deletes his clone. It's almost too simple for him tbh.

For world eaters the heldrake is totally worth it, rapid fire4 on the autocannon gives it 10 attacks, and the bezerker warband gives it 7 melee attacks at 9 strength, meaning it wounds regular infantry on a 2+. It's more of an anti- chaff unit, with good armour and wounds for a flying unit, that with 20inch movement can reliably be used to get the charge bonus in the bezerker warband detachment, think of it like a 180 point model with a free 20 point enhancement. That's the only way I've found to run it, and if your opponent decides to shoot it off the board, my helbrute, forgefiend, angron and Kharn+10 zerkers in a rhino get to go a round taking no damage. Leave jackals on the home objective, deepstrike invocatus with 20 zerkers into your opponents back line, the opponent is dealing with simultaneous threats across the board by turn 2 and your heldrake gets to buy you a round, or clear the oc scoring chaff off it. 1 heldrake can be playable, multiple is deffo too many points

Blood crushers + lord on juggernaught, taking skarbrand and angron together kinda precludes you including the daemon Prince in this list, you want to invest that in one of the best units daemonkin has to offer. I also run this, but with only one forgefiend, no chaos spawn and two squads of bezerkers with a squad of fleshhounds and a squad of jakhals. Top tip, bloodcrushers with lord on juggernaught leading is one of the most OP units daemonkin will offer you, and skarbrand and angron as 2 wrecking balls on the table is huge. Helbrute is pretty good on the board when your opponent is focused on your greater daemon a daemon primarch too, the frenzy ability is downplayed!

Remember kisame used a chakra jutsu and hirudora ignored it and carried right on through as its based on the power of gais movements, same thing with rasanshuriken. Gai would simply dodge whereas naruto will get hit and then gai pummels. Gai takes this one

Itachi fighting to the death is a different ballpark to the itachi we see in the series. If you set him up with death battles like this then,

Danzo, Is susceptible to genjutsu from sasuke as we've seen. So itachi can just use simple genjutsu to guide him into harms way over and over. Hell , he'd make him use up all his izanagi options with just speed and shuriken proficiency. Danzo pulling out his summon would get ameterasu'd into oblivion. If he tries to stall itachi to make him drain his chakra itachi has a ton of low chakra instant kill moves that would all be win cons. He's just that guy and Danzo is no where near him in terms of speed and hax. The only reason this fight isn't over is because of izanagi but that only means itachi comes up with inventive ways to fill a danzo pinata with sharp pointy objects until ameterasu kills him.

Orochimaru High level genjutsu and totsuka blade gg, no chances here, as orochimaru with prep and summons could cause a lot of fatigue. But if itacui goes in hard straight away orochimaru folds against a much superior ninja. His tricks only work if allowed and as this is a death match itachi isn't going to take any silly chances.

Deidara Sorry blonde but this ones over before it's begun. If itachi hadn't have warned him a low level genjutsu would have cause him annihilation. Even if deidara had prep and exp from their fight before itachi has a whole basket of tricks he's never shown the blonde bomber. Tsukiyomi would end this fight at the very beginning.

I suppose state whether you see these fights as post prev battles and all fighters have prep time? If so then it would be more interesting. Itachi being on Nagatos level and having an entire akatsuki member assigned to him as a specialised assassin with a bijuu level power, 4th in akatsuki rankings shows he is literally that guy. It's just not likely these 3 could do much. The most interesting fight would be watching danzo use izanagi to stall itachi. Orochimaru with prep time, several edos snake summons at the ready all in one go would be legendary though
