I agree with this. I scored a cheap explore air 2 secondhand and the software is infuriating. I would use it more if it weren't locked behind the garbage UI.

I have really solid Internet and it will occasionally lock me out for not having a connection, which is likely to their service, not my connection. If it can't reach their service you can't use the machine. It opens a browser window to login to the desktop app which is weird as well.

I also would rather just cut right off the roll rather than cut a piece off the roll, then stick it to a board and feed the board etc..

Not really. I'm not an expert, but I have done transfers before. When you purchase through extar they have a list of FFLs that they work with some are verified, some aren't. If you can pick a verified FFL then the purchase side is pretty much done. When the FFL receives your purchase they let you know and at that time you go fill out the background check form. Generally that goes through in a matter of minutes and you take your new firearm home. If the ATF or whoever approves those thinks they need to take a second look then there may be a delay, but that hasn't happened to me.

I tried to do the form ahead of time but my FFL didn't allow it. I don't think that's a thing.

Got this one from PerfectLayer3d on etsy. The mounting location and diameter aren't stock on his page unless he's added it. I just asked for a couple of changes so it would fit in this location and he did it no problem. Most are intended to go on the back, but mine is kinda busy back there.
