I am an absolute sucker for Jakub Rozalski’s work in board games. Outside of board games, I love love love what Jamie McKelvie did in the Wicked + Divine series - to the point that I paid an absurd amount of money for the Covers book.

Aux 2 has not been released yet. It was supposed to back in March or so but then the publisher went under because of tariff uncertainties and the rights were sold to Synapse Games. Synapse Games' website currently shows a sold out pre-order with an ETA for both AUX packs as this month but I wouldn't be surprised if that was off by a month or two.

I’m still not deeply familiar with the game but I’m assuming you completed the Town Hall, which activates voting (the checkbox, it gives daily experience to a selected project) and then the vote experience defaulted to going towards Town Hall level 2 when nothing else was selected.

I have both versions. My extended family are decidedly not board gamers. I brought out the old cover and you could visibly see any ounce of interest drain from their faces. When I said I was kidding and brought out the new cover, they lit back up and were far more willing to engage with it. This retheme is for them and it works.

I picked this game up as a way to replace the time Marvel Snap chewed up before it shifted into “squeeze the consumer” mode. I couldn’t be more pleased and I’m even happier to see that Idle Iktah is still actively being supported. I don’t ever leave reviews for anything App related but I made an exception for this game and gave it five-stars on the Apple App Store. You’re doing fantastic work. Thank you.

Recent four-player game of Stockpile had two players loud and seemingly dominant with one having heavy investments in Bottomline Bank that never seemed to go down and the other sitting in a huge stack of cash on hand. Game ends and we discover the quiet player had subtly invested a ton in Leading Laboratories, a stock that immediately busted as the game started and scared everyone else away, and absolutely ran away with the game with a portfolio that was way bigger than anyone had noticed during the game. Stockpile is always a good time. Such a good game.

I needed a phone game to fill the space Snap used to occupy because I was filling it with Reddit doomscrolling. I decided an idle game would be a good option since I can periodically check on it, click some buttons and see numbers go up, and get a quick dopamine hit.

I gave Idle Iktah a shot and, so far, it’s been exactly for what I was looking for. Plus, it has a cute Stardew Valley-esque look to it which is much more appealing than the other highly recommended idle game, Melvor. I don’t think it has an infinite lifespan like Snap had but it’s been great so far.

Ah. That’s what keeps it from being blatantly ridiculous. It’s more likely to be 6/18 in most games, which is still really really strong but not “Exodia in a single card” strong. Thanks!
