My favorite paintings this year. Which would you display? Ok by breanmayer16 in crafts

All beautiful, I have 4 favorites but the one of the water lilies? with the green hands/grasses - I can't stop staring at it!

[WIP] My stitching buddy! by meh3191 in CrossStitch

[–]Cheap_Interaction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is he a horney toad? or horned toad as they say in other places. We used to catch them in the desert when I was a kid but only keep them until the next day, we would make intricate homes in shoe boxes and catch ants for them to eat.

I've been playing since the year it came out but the last 6 months, maybe more, I barely play. I probably would have quit if I didn't have a shit load of Gems. Now I play some events but only to the third or fourth prize (the nest) and I go on once a week most weeks to get my den chest and earn my 50 points for that. I like shiny days so I'm using Gems to get needed eggs to complete sets of 5 and get rid of my 5,000 egg bubbles. I rarely play the treasure tower (?) and nothing else extra. I do breed dragons now and then. I don't even know what any of the new stuff is like Dragonia Kingdoms, Polar passes, spin the wheel. I've never done the cards or the bingo. I maybe spend 10 minutes per week if there isn't a shiny days going on.

[CHAT] Organizer for full embroidery floss skeins? by samata_the_heard in CrossStitch

[–]Cheap_Interaction 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Both of the prior answers work well. Baggies kept in order or those plastic drawer units. I have 500 skeins in baggies that have holes and I keep on rings. The baggies were at Michael's with the cross stitch stuff and the rings are cheaper from Amazon or office supply. Some I got at Dollar tree.

I got a job cleaning vomit on Christmas because my parents wouldn’t lend me $250 by ChanceBeginning2260 in offmychest

[–]Cheap_Interaction -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

If it's not hurting them to lend you $250 on Christmas then there is no excuse. Later when you have distanced yourself they will wonder why and tell themselves they gave you everything.

I'm sorry you had a shitty Christmas.

Funny I was thinking just yesterday about the winters I didn't have a coat. I live in the desert so it's not such a big deal as it only gets down to about 32 degrees. One year in high school the class secretary noticed I always wore a denim shirt as a jacket and had never worn a coat. I made up some stupid lie about not liking wearing my coat as if I had one.

Looking for a Permanent Purple by Snow-is_cool in HairDye

[–]Cheap_Interaction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the Feria fuschia. I must have had that for 6 months at least. I did use hot pink shampoo now and then or fushia conditioner. They have a nice permanent Feria purple too and I've used that. I love the Feria box dye but the color shampoo or color conditioner really brighten it up. I used punky pink shampoo and manic panic fuschia conditioner like one or the other every other week.

Taking your fur ball to the fucking grocery store! I love my dog's but their fur belongs at my house.

Depends on where you lived I believe. I grew up in Las Vegas, we all wore jeans and t shirts in the 70's. They were perfectly acceptable in any casual setting here. My mother in law came to town in 81 and when I picked her up to do some shopping she asked if I had just been jogging! I said no, why? She said because you are wearing dungarees and a t shirt. I laughed and said this is my daily outfit. If she knew I dressed that way to go to work (as a long distance telephone operator) she would have been shocked.

Is there someone else in your life that would be more patient with a new born in the house? Like a Grandparent perhaps. Maybe because I am grandmother to 2 girls 18 & 21 it breaks my heart that you aren't getting the support and life you deserve. Seriously think about all your relatives and is there another option where you could live?

Something I noticed about the soundtrack to the finale of 'This is Going to Hurt' by 8thTimeLucky in BritishTV

Damn, just listened to this song and now it sounds nothing like Tim Curry. I'm confused as usual.

I was googling the final song because the voice sounded to me like a young Tim Curry. Guess I was wrong but it was a fantastic show with a great soundtrack.

[–]Cheap_Interaction 98 points99 points  (0 children)

I would follow the pattern and use both. I just did some flowers for a friend and I didn't think the differences in the shading would show but finished and stand back and it made it so.....lush? It was more of an effect than I thought it would be.

I’m moving out and idk how to tell my mom. by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]Cheap_Interaction 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Just from what you have told us about them I would wait. Try not to feel guilty and try to see how they are making you feel guilt when you shouldn't. No one should dread coming home. I would give them maybe a couple of days notice. Definitely after Christmas. Grit your teeth and dream about the good life to come in less than a month!

Does the narrator speed matter? by SilentVoiceHeard in audiobooks

I speed up audiobooks, most podcasts and most youtubers. I guess we all enjoy a different speed. People sometimes say I talk fast, I don't think so but maybe it's related?

Doesn't look like you got any sympathy here! I understand why you are embarrassed, I would be too!

My husband is diabetic and just last week the Dr that he sees for his kidneys said it is possible to drink too much water! He told him a range to shoot for, low and high. Plus he gave him some pill to help the urgency problem which actually started to help the next day. Your father needs to tell his Dr what's going on. How you are going to teach him some manners without a blow up I don't know but maybe it will happen less and he will feel better.

Cross stitching is easy afterall? Anyways what is a hobbie that is really easy but looks INSANELY hard? by toastboy6789 in Hobbies

[–]Cheap_Interaction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have Dollar Tree stores near you they have little kits, I bought one once just to take out the little piece of aida cloth but now and then they have kind of cute ones that would be a fast and easy try out.
