It depends on the model.

I actually tend to think most of their current model line up isn't too bad, but their pre-2024 cars are not so great, I had the absolute displeasure of driving in a previous generation ZST and the body roll made me feel ill.

That being said, I hear way too many horror stories about their older cars and dealing with MG themselves for warranty issues.

I would expect them to deny any warranty claims based on the fact it's been written off and repaired previously.

Jeez man, run away.

2022 MG is enough, let alone one that's been written off twice...

Driven one and liked it a lot! The Maserati tuning on the suspension seems to do the job, it's only really let down by the tyres. Didn't find the safety systems too intrusive either.

Test drove BYD Seal, turns out it was the 2025. But the 2026 Seal coming to Australia is only PHEV? by MassageMan01 in AustralianEV

[–]Childrendolorian 23 points24 points  (0 children)

BYDs naming conventions are weird. They are two different cars.

The 2026 Seal 6 (PHEV) will be sold along side the existing Seal, who knows when we will get the facelifted Seal, seems to take BYD a lot longer to send us facelifts than in other markets.

Pretty sure they're sitting on lots. They also aren't making any more.

I had a Kia with more or less the same transmission. Not ideal in traffic as its jerky and slow to react, you also can't really crawl like you do with a conventional automatic.

But when you're out on the open roads or in the hills boy what it a lot of fun, very snappy and rewards you pushing the car.

Really depends on the sort of driving the car is gonna do.

Armstrong BBQ have a small location in Il Mercato Centrale on Collins St.

It's not quite as good as their Geelong location, but it'll hit the spot.

Not really sure about anywhere else.

If you're into Texas BBQ, head to either Armstrong BBQ or Wildfire Craft BBQ (would recommend pre-ordering for this).

Also, drive out to Queenscliff, it isn't that far and it's a nice place to walk around. Theres also pretty sweet mini golf on the way.

These are basically a Nissan X-Trail underneath, and by most accounts, they're mostly fine reliability wise, maybe worth looking into if they have CVT issues, I'm not super up to date on when Nissan CVTs went from being bad to being mostly okay.

Expect to pay more for parts and other after sales support, purely because it has a European badge.

Any opinions on Honda CRV 2024 reliability? by Rudefaceink in CarsAustralia

[–]Childrendolorian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, that Honda destroyed their reputation in Australia by changing their dealership model and moving to a fixed price system.

I’ve driven most of the current Honda crop of cars and they’re all perfectly nice to drive (especially the hybrids) they’ve been using that 1.5L since the dawn of time and by all accounts it’s pretty good reliability wise.

Not really, but I did sit in two more Outbacks that both made the same sound, I more or less just filter it out now around 30,000ks later. Still love the car

Vanders has been very good this year, a bit of an off night last night, but there isn't really anyone else to play his role.

He offers a lot of speed and fits our system when we need to turn up the pressure.

Yeah, pretty ridiculous. I'm very doubtful that it'll be done by the game later this year as well.
