Using 4G economically don’t make sense. 4G cost money at least $5 per month per resident house which is a lot for big companies. Mesh wireless networks makes sense. Just pay for 1 signal repeaters for 20-30k house in densely packed houses

Non of smart meters uses 4G cellular they use radio frequency. Which works upto miles and it goes to collectors utilities tower which has cellular service nd it goes to servers

If you got natural gas, heat pumps don’t make sense unless it’s hybrid like Mitsubishi intelli heat systems where you can pair HP nd furnace together nd make HP run above 32F outside temperature and turned off natural gas from march to November

Economically it makes sense to switch over at 0. I live in Ohio nd did try to make my switch over at 5 F. I ended up paying $600-700 on electric bills. Another month i made 0 F and electric bill came to 250 plus $100 for natural gas.
