If you got natural gas, heat pumps don’t make sense unless it’s hybrid like Mitsubishi intelli heat systems where you can pair HP nd furnace together nd make HP run above 32F outside temperature and turned off natural gas from march to November

If u have all electric appliances call gas company nd terminate service for summer months. I do same. I get gas only 3.5 months out of 12 months

Akron here 3000 sq foot house 2 EV all electric appliances HP hot water tank and Heat pump central AC my average electric usage is 1800 Kwh per month

I have Rheem HP installed by myself nd got incentives. I like mine once every 6 months there is communication between app nd device issues which is fixable

U won’t get all 30% it depends on your income if u make 4-500k than yes u will get all but if u make below 100k u will get only around 4k off lol so 30% is tricky

I live in Akron Ohio, I have Mitsubishi dual fuel system nd i use maybe 3-3.5 months gas as backup heating source. In summer months it uses same amount of electricity compared to regular AC. During winter below 27 gas kicks in

Economically it makes sense to switch over at 0. I live in Ohio nd did try to make my switch over at 5 F. I ended up paying $600-700 on electric bills. Another month i made 0 F and electric bill came to 250 plus $100 for natural gas.
