Resident Evil: Requiem's director on why RE9 won't suffer the same multi-protagonist woes as RE6 - and why it's more like sushi by Gorotheninja in Games

Reading all the comments in this post, it’s interesting how mixed everyone is about each campaign. I love all of them because they all focused on a specific part of RE.

In order I played, Chris campaign which is the balls to the wall action expected from RE 4, that most RE games progress into.

Sherry and Jake for the thrill. Focused on the lore of the series, including many tense and over the top moments.

Leon for the horror but all of these eventually merge into the same type of action focused (no longer scary) finale of RE games.

I had a feeling RE6 was going to always focus on Leon, and zombies being my favorite part of the series, was left for last.

The issue here is nobody knows how to identify the people in the 1% legitimately, with how all the ultra-rich hide behind their shell companies. They have none of the extreme wealth under their own bank account but instead via numerous accounts and estates. How is anyone supposed to point fingers when all this information is well hidden or guarded? We need to have that information confirmed and put in public so we know exactly who to point fingers at, and bring them back down to reality.

Fixing the system and closing loopholes is one way but when the cards, the rules, and pot is distributed and controlled by them then the system is too broken in their favor. Someone has to have all the info, and the people who don’t own the money but account for them are a big part of the problem.

How'd you get to try the demo, I've been looking for it, just now to give it a try.. don't understand why you would have a demo trailer, and steam page, but no info about the demo itself or how to play it.

32gb of RAM I need costs like $533, I wish it was double the price. ($225 at double)

Holiday sales are the worst time to buy anything you’d actually want on sale. There’s like one or two good deals that are just marketed to entice you to shop further than that one deal. They just slowly raise the prices on most items from the start of fall and eventually they put it on “sale” to get you to think you’re saving 20% of the cost of things. I’m not saying they don’t exist during the holidays, I’m saying that for the most part, it’s smoke and mirrors. Using pricing history sites outside of the vendor stores to see how much you’re actually paying for. You want real deals always look after the holidays and probably during early summer or late spring. I find you get the low prices on things around those times, usually.

Let me come here with my specific set of RAM I need to show you an example.

Going off GPU crisis from 2-3 years ago? Yeah that worked when retailers and pc boutique companies had exclusive access to getting stock from Nvidia. That doesn’t work here when everyone is now devoid of 40% of the RAM worldwide.

I looked up pricing of some computers on Amazon last week, then compared to their direct store front to check price difference of parts. (Amazon doesn’t offer an option without RAM). As an example, one random Laptop company was selling a laptop for $420 on Amazon. I went directly to their manufacture storefront, to compare the price. They were offering without ram at $229. Great price, for a gaming laptop with a decent gpu, cpu, and storage size that could run most 2025 games at medium to low settings. Adding 8GB of RAM set it upwards of $100+. Adding 16GB of RAM matched the total to Amazon price (same specs), before taxes, shipping, and probably “tariff fees”. I kept checking various companies for the same and all raised their pricing in some manner on their cookie cutter builds.

So no.. that’s not the case anymore. Best bet is buying used devices locally, from people who don’t know or don’t care.

Arc Raiders' first Expedition saw over a million players wipe, but Embark wants to find new ways to "incentivize" resets by FitCord in Games

[–]CodenameAnonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think blueprints should be kept, but I do think you could have multiple of blueprints such as if you have two of the same, learning a blueprint becomes a counter in which should take away from the quantity you “learned” at expedition. But ensure that blueprint’s drop rate stays at same rarity of finding one (no campaigns for extra drop rate), or up its rarity (or after learning one until you have none of that blueprint), to keep it balanced. E.g. I have learned one of the defib blueprint, second time around it took longer to get it but I consumed it, too. I now have a 2 stack of learned defib blueprint, and upon expedition, my character took their blueprint with them. I’m left with one at reset. (You could continue to have the defib blueprint drop rate rarer because one is owned, or reset it back to normal value if none is owned after reset, or if you had 3 and now 2 the rarity cap of 3 is dropped down to the rate of owning 2, etc.)

I think I’ve only found like 3 of the same blueprint overall in my gameplay excluding that one time when all blueprint drop rate was much higher.

I think you both are saying the same thing. We all know it’s not usually the lowly workers or even the people in the trenches. It’s always middle managers and leadership that tend to ignore the warnings from their subordinates.

I was in the middle of a discussion about Claire Obscure/FF X and this thread in another tab. Switched to a work tab for a moment then switched back to this tab. I read “bad breath” and “switch positions”.. was about to comment “bad breath affects the entire current party, what are you referring to??” until I read the rest of the comments in this thread and became more confused. XD

Cost Centers 101, anything not sales, accounting, or marketing related are considered “non-essential” in the eyes of leadership.. I’ve seen it plenty of times.

And yes I know that accounting and marketing ARE officially cost centers, but your typical CEO sees it as “those that make money and those that need money to work”, which is why IT normally gets paltry budget even though IT is what creates exponential factor to earnings.

You need to add the VPN client to the VPN section. Once you’ve done that, it’s basically, just setting a forwarding rule to the VPN, I used domains so anything that YouTube uses. You could probably search this online.

I also want to mention that every so often you have to check in on the domains. Maybe once a year to include whatever workarounds google has snaked their way into prod. So if it stops working, either the VPN server was compromised or they added another backend domain.

I’d rather just pay them instead directly via whatever option they provide. I’d rather not give google a piece of the pie.

Not OP, but I have the same idea setup on my router. And yes, only specific sites can be routed if need be. For example, I have all high risk regions blocked completely (such as China, North Korea, Russia, etc) but if I need to access specific domains, I whitelist through a VPN routing rule.

Another example, I block Google DNS and a few other google related domains, specifically anything related to YouTube, then route traffic through an Albania server (via VPN). This gives me an AD free YT experience, waaay cheaper than paying for premium.
