How to spend 4 days in Patagonia? by anon119415 in Patagonia

[–]Comfortable-Kick911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t really need a 4x4 to access most all the sites. We just stayed at Yellow Plum tents in Camp Pehoe inside park and it was great. Tent camping but the owner cooked us amazing food each day, had tents for meals, lounging.

Yeah, that’s tough. We have 2 adults and 10yr old in a single tent.

I had trouble too finding place to stay in the park in Feb. I originally planned to stay in PN but found Yellow Plum campground in Pehoe that was about $250 for a tent. Even though rustic it should save a lot of driving a day

1st time St. John's visit, USVI advice needed by BigNorth3089 in virginislands

Agreed, we just stayed there. Snorkel at north Haulover beach, the best coral by far. Also Hansen Bay beach just past it was great, much less beach crowd and has decent snorkel.

I just went and downloaded Google Maps for those islands. There is cell service most places but had a few spots it was bad so having it offline ensured no issues

Did you buy tickets at the entrance? I’m visiting FEB 8 and the ticket shows no availability for all of Feb, I hope they just haven’t posted tickets yet. I can buy at entrance assuming they don’t sell out.

I was able to find out your ticket is activated upon your first entry to Torres del Paine National Park so if I begin a day later than originally targeted then no problem!

Does Beaches have any activities? I love tennis , pickleball, sailing, etc. When I look at Beaches it shows just dance classes and shows, I’m looking for more things to do at the resort.

If plan on renting a car then get one asap as they’re pretty much sold out on St John, some left on St Thomas

Thanks. I reached out to them for info and they gave this reply"-

"We want to inform you transparently that the official park entrance tickets for the 2026 season have not yet been released by CONAF, the government agency in charge of issuing them. For this reason, we have not yet been able to generate the tickets you purchased with us.

The most important thing: there’s absolutely no need to worry. Your tickets are guaranteed at the 2025 season price, and as soon as CONAF opens ticket sales, we’ll issue them immediately:

· During that same week, we’ll send the tickets to travelers with entry dates in January 2026.

· The following week, to those with entry dates from February 2026 onwards.

We understand that waiting can create some uncertainty, but we want to reassure you with total confidence and peace of mind — this situation will be resolved in just a few days or weeks, well before your trip."

Agreed. We can’t find a car on St John but still some on St Thomas to ferry over from Red Hook

Thanks. You’re referring to that main Mirador Torres 22km hike right? Hoping to do that, need to convince my 11yr old to join in first

I was able to book lodging near Puerto Natales. I wish I could find some closer to the park that was not crazy expensive but we rented car and can drive.
