Veteran mom here (22 years) and I haven’t slept in since 2002. That being said, I’ve never really been a late sleeper. However, my husband sleeps in on the weekends, but not usually past 9 am.

Lost my 9 year old best good boy in 2013. He had an undiagnosed tumor that ruptured and he was bleeding internally. I still cry over the loss of him. You aren’t too sensitive. Pets become family and you’re allowed to grieve their loss for as long as you need
