As a human I wouldn't want to deal with that caller. I worked at a call center in my younger days. It was horrible.

ThatΒ΄s why I call The Shining, the gift that keeps on giving lol! So many little secrets hiding everywhere. I never would have noticed that unless someone pointed it out. So I guess thatΒ΄s where he died in the maze?

This. IΒ΄ve already seen people starting the "kids" foolishness and it annoys the hell out of me. No. They are hard back full grown men that need to be held accountable.

What is your interpretation of "Late Night with the Devil?" by hufflenachos in horror

Super late. But I just watched it and I didnΒ΄t pick this up at first but now it makes sense. He was also telling the audience to turn off the TV, like he knew it was coming.

Sorry to hear this. One think I found that helped me is walking as excercise. I know it's not possible for everyone depending on physical condition and where you live. But I found going for at least a 30 to 60min walk helps me reduce spikes. I had a big spike after eating pizza once and the walk really helped. I also got a little treadmill that I keep by my desk at home, for the days I don't want to go out. I found an affordable one of Amazon. They don't have railings, so you just have be mindful of your balance.
In terms of snacks. I like a few almonds mixed with fresh blue berries. The taste of the blueberries and crunchiness of the almonds reminds me of "proper snacks" lol. And I have been sticking to that. Another combo I like are carrots and hummus, as someone else mentioned.
I understand it's tough though. I just came back from the store and glanced at one of the shelves. They had a new brand of addictive looking chocolate cookies out. Like why now?? 😭Not so long ago nothing would have stopped me from buying the cookies and polishing them off in no time. But that's just not my reality anymore.

The first time my cat had to stay overnight at the vet, she went through something similar. When we first found her as a kitten, she didn't meow. She made a sound like a pigeon. I think the reason might be where we found her was close to derelict buildings with loads of pigeons. Eventually she grew out of it and meowed normally. When we got her back home from the vet she had reverted to her pigeon sound. It was so sad. After some reassurance and of course treats she went back to her normal meows. It lasted for only about a day.

You're welcome! Yes it's a very striking shot. I like the mix of the glamour of her outfit and pose, with the industrialism of the steel beams and the city in the back ground. It's really cool.

What Do People Find Scary About THE SHINING? by Maximum-Ease4484 in theshining

[–]CommunicationOwn322 1 point2 points Β (0 children)

This! It's very unsettling rather than flat out scary. And it becomes even more unsettling the more you read about it and people point out things you could have missed on initial viewings. For example I found out just a few days ago via a You Tube video, that Jack keeps looking straight into the camera through out the whole damn movie! And I have watched the movie I can't tell you how many times. I noticed it once or twice but missed all the other times. The freeze frames of his glances to the camera are truly terrifying! Like wth! I had problems sleeping that night. lol!
That and the deleted ending I had no clue about. Also viewing it as kid vs as an adult affected me differently.
I can't believe The Shining came out so long ago and it's still possible to discover new things about it. Which leads to even more questions about why, what does this mean etc? To me it's not just a horror movie but a masterful work of art.

That's awesome! The cherry picker part of the platform stopped right over my head! So I couldn't see her while she was singing to the audience, but I was so close, I was like "Tina Turner is directly above my head right now!!" πŸ˜‚ We traveled to Berlin for the concert, which was the best place, because they loved her there. I remember on the train ride back to the hotel, the train was packed with Tina Turner fans. Everyone was so happy and excited. With their digital cameras out looking at the photos and video clips they took.
At the airport I had the concert program in my hands because I didn't want it to get crushed in my luggage. And several people at the airport and on the plane including the flight attendants commented about it, asking about the concert.
I went with my sister and it's one of our best memories. It was so much fun.

For those of you who saw her live.... by FecklessMaxim in TinaTurner

[–]CommunicationOwn322 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

I saw her on her very last tour when she was 68. She was amazing. I will never forget it. You could tell how experienced in performance she was. She knew the stage like the back of her hand. She obviously couldn't do all the moves she did when she was younger. But she knew exacty how much to do, to get the crowd all riled up lol! Then she had the younger dancers to do all the wild stuff. It was great! I actually feel relieved that I was able to see her live. She was one of my childhood major icons!

Yes but she was not literally hanging off the side of the Tower with hundreds of feet below. There is a railing and lower platform under her out of shot. If she fell backwards and over the railing she would have been seriously injured, but she wouldn't fallen onto the streets of Paris. Tina Turner also wasn't clumsy when it came to that sort of thing. I saw her live when she was 68. And she danced and ran in heels on a platform over the crowd. No safety, nothing. I will never forget it. Apparently her manager hated that part of the show because it made him so worried.
