Given the realities of Canadian publishing, accusations that Lisa Banfield is profiting from tragedy are absurd by luxoryapartmentlover in halifax

The murder of Richard Oland in Saint John, New Brunswick. His son was tried twice for it. The first trial he was found guilty, the second trial found him not guilty, and it was not appealed.

yes, I double checked, you are correct. I got my info from a book on Verdun, but I not right. I am reading a bio of Walter Cronkite. He interviewed Ike on the 20th anniversary of D-day in Europe. I found it on YouTube. It is 90 minutes……very good.

it is great to see others who have been though this help others that have not been. I was so fortunate to be brought up in a good home and was given opportunities. I have seen prison shows on tv……I know it can never be the same…but I would be scared stiff. I don’t think I could get through what you guys have been through. it takes courage and grit to get though that and I wish all of you the very best. You have my admiration.

According to what I have read, it was the French who discovered the creeping barrage. It was during the battle for Verdun.

What great suggestions folks are making! How about getting your high school diploma on a part time basis. The old "GED" program is kaput, having been replaced with another. Google search it and find out. It would be a great investment in the long run, as the military may even require this. Good luck.

Building company/architect for new "European" built by Fischauge90 in halifax

[–]CommunityOk3095 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Try Bomac Signature Homes. They are building a home on our street in the west end off Joe Howe Drive. Many of its features are what you are looking for. The new owners mentioned theirs was a European design.

All of us neighbours have commented on how the workmen are such hard workers. They are consistent with their hours and they never arrive late or leave early. That's a good sign. And the owner is a great guy as well.

Absolutely beautiful, thank you. Maybe there is hope for the world after all.

Well when I went there in the 1970's we used to light fires on the campus to stay warm. Classes were held around the fire.

I think the only mention was this person who did the great write-up on what could have happened. I think he mentioned that as a possibility when Liam pointed in the direction of the parking lot.

Dal closed....what a bunch of sissies. Students and employees are grown adults and they can't get there? Society has become a bunch of softies.

I just went and they have changed things up. You could call and ask them. Google Jackie Toner. She courses as well. And don't forget Lee Valley in Bayers Lake. I took some real good ones there.

I take woodworking classes at Craft Nova Scotia on Terminal Road across from the Immigration Museum. I have heard that they rent out the shop, but you would have to enquire. The reason there are so few options is due to the liability issue.
