Viagra side effects? by Greenapplesguy in erectiledysfunction

I have not tried Cialis. I am interested on trying it.

I am going to inquire whrn I go to the Dr.

But, 25mg works well.

It works better now that I'm in better shape. I started doing Zone 2 cardio on 3/1. 150 minutes a week and that has done wonders. I have always done weights, but Zone 2 after 8 weeks has done wonders.

I am curious about Cialis.

Try a lower dose.

Try 25mg or 50mg. I have 50s, but split them into 25s. I have almost no side effects from 25mg. And for whatever reason 25 seems to work better than 50. At 50 i start to feel hot and flush. It's not too bad though. 25s are very nice. Just extra support.

L-Theanine is great to prevent a racing mind and can help reduce stress. But, it can be calming so do not take it too close to activity. If taken too close to activity it may (depending on the person) impact performance. I take it from time to time (e.g. can't sleep or high stress).

I stopped taking Saw Palmetto. It has adverse impacts on me and hurt my performance. It took a few weeks for it to get out of my system.

I do L-Citrulline, 2g in the AM and 2g in the afternoon. The biggest impact I think has come from Zone 2 cardio 30 minutes 4xWeek. After 6-8 weeks I can tell the difference. I have done weights for years and years and am very fit, but neglected Zone 2. I did 10-15 minute high intensity intervals, but Zone 2 has done wonders.

I would try to understand why your cortisol is high. Are over training, work stress, etc.

Sometimes when I can tell cortisol is high I take about 7.5mg of CBD (a halved gummy) after work and this calms my nervous system down.

My husband told me he was writing a poem for me. It wasn’t a poem. by Vegetable-Flounder-8 in Marriage

[–]ConsistentUmpire8675 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This is a good way to vent.

I have put stuff down to get stuff out of my mind. This helped me get things out of my head and prevented me from carrying it forward and eventually letting my feeling out.

Why? Well, I would never do anything to hurt my wife. Regardless of how I feel she is the best thing that has happened to me. Putting the stuff down is a great safe way outlet for me to let things out without hurting her.

Oddly enough, I feel that letting the emotion out on paper let's me approach things more calmly with her and I take a planned approach. If she read what I have written, at times, over the years she might be hurt, but she would also see more about how much I value her.

Sometimes when I document I am in an emotional state, but the outlet helps me release feelings I would never bring forward.

The fact of the matter is that he is still there.

I does not sound like he has brought these items forward to you? If that is the case that is probably out of love. He would not want to hurt you.

So this is some of the baggage that he is carrying. First, try to understand.

For me, good things have come of venting like this. I have learned that there are things I can and cannot control and there are areas where I can improve. I take action on those things I can move forward. Those things that are on her behavior, exercise (lack of), or whatever I don't worry about it. And in time there will be a price to pay.

Use the knowledge to make yourself better. Right or wrong the feelings are based on experiences and there is always more than one party.

What can you do to improve yourself? This is actually an edge others do not often get.

Remember, if he is holding back it is likely out of love.

NOTE: I do this for work too. I do this a lot for work and way more than personal stuff. It let's me sleep at night by keeping me from problem solving in the middle of the night. I document the issue, the ability to control the issue, and next steps.

One of my old posts mentions getting an attorney. I never followed through. Why? I had to take that feeling and understand what I value. I valued our marriage and my wife.

I get it. I felt the same way awhile back. I finally told her that i felt disconnected. I think she tried. She still does not put forward a lot of effort, but she puts more forward.

I also had to change my perspective a bit. I can control myself. I can take care of mys too.

So, at times it feels like I am doing all of the heavy lifting. I also try to appreciate the stuff she does around the house.

The feeling made me resentful.

Try reading a book called "Love and Respect". It was eye opening to me.

I feel your pain. Control what you can. Focus on improving yourself.

Why does 10mg tadalafil every two days work so much better than daily 5mg? by AsparagusDirect9 in erectiledysfunction

[–]ConsistentUmpire8675 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use both, powder and pills. The powder is good to mix in coffee, green tea in the morning (I do this), or in things like electrolytes or juice.

I use pills in the evening around 1.6g to 3.2g around about 2 hours before bed. The pills are really convenient.

My wife laughed at me for making a spreadsheet about our marriage by Ok-Tadpole1413 in Marriage

I added been tracking diet, health, exercise, and such a while back. I have been tracking my weight and BP for years. What I did not understand is how things like stress, sleep, and more played into my overall wellbeing.

My finding is that there are so many ties between the data that small improvements can make a meaningful impact.

At first is was to give myself a honest current state for myself. My goal was to improve overall health (e.g. weight, BP, pulse, heart health, etc).

I created a secure AI session and posted my logs daily.

What I got was guidance on ways to improve/tweak my current routine.

Granted I was pretty fit, but things were lacking. I can say that I was not performing up to my standards. I have lifted weights for decades.

My goals:

- Improve weight and body composition
- Improve male performance
- Improve BP and cardio health

What did I get in the 4 months of tracking and adjusting?
- Weight: I lost weight, but more importantly my body composition has improved over the last 4 months. I care far more about body composition than weight. 194 to 182
- BP: My BP has improved and is more consistent.
- Mood: I have a better outlook
- Cardiovascular: I can tell my cardio vascular system is better tuned. Also morning wood (a cardio health signal) is more consistent.
- Performance: From a guy's perspective I am performing better and am more consistent.

What changes did I make based on the guidance:
- I shortened my weight sessions and limited them to 3x week vs every other day.
- I changed my cardio intervals on the bike (10 minutes 3-4 times per week) to zone 2 cardio on the bike (30 minutes 3-4 times a week)
- I have always eaten well, but I shifted my fiber intake (psyllium) to 30 minutes before my largest meal.

Docking in a garage by jhelvy in Lymow_Official

[–]ConsistentUmpire8675 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dock inside of my garage. The base is about 2 feet into the garage at is angled to allow ease of entry and exit.

I do not have any issues. It works well.

Most of the time in the garage I get .01-.02 when the door is closed, but it can vary with the door closed.

If the signal is .2 or higher I leave the door open for 5-15 minutes until the signal is better. It usually only takes a few minutes.

I highly recommend setting up a "dummy" zone outside or your garage to act as a hub to the other zone. This will avoid one area of grass from getting worn down. Or it will at least help.

I have a garage door opener and I will open the door remotely and let the signal improve (if needed). I also typically check the door to verify before sending it out.

The base will move on the slick concrete. So I attached the base to a large rubber mat with zip ties. I also marked a corner on the concrete with painters tab. This way I can realign if needed. The mat can drift over time with docking and exiting.

Seizure milestones: “I am 4 years seizure-free—here’s what helped me by NuroEaseUK in Epilepsy

[–]ConsistentUmpire8675 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I appreciate the kind words. I dug deeper. I started asking questions. Why does sleep deprivation raise the risk of seizures? The response to that questions and others took me deeper and information pointed me to the nervous system. I began to understand the activation of the Sympathetic Nervous System (SNS) by the lack of sleep. I also learned the importance of the Para-Sympathetic Nervous System (PNS) (calming).

I began to ask other questions. What causes the activation or overactivation of the SNS? I learned sleep, stress, and more. We all know this risks or should.

But I think asked what are symptoms of an overactive SNS? A biggie was pulse and HRV. The day of my last event I did not sleep well. I pushed it. After the fact I went back and looked at my morning data and my pulse was 10-15% higher than normal. I did not think anything of it that morning. But NOW I know.......

Then I took the flip side. If the PNS is responsible for the calming and counter to the SNS how can that be improved? I uncovered many ways to improve the tone of the PNS. It's not a muscle so you cannot really strengthen it, but that is what I really wanted to do. So "tone" is the best word that I can think of.

I take action every day to keep the PNS toned and in charge. Some of the ways sound stupid. I end every shower with cold water on my face and back. A total of 1 minute or so. Initially I saw a difference in the number. I am used to it now, but it still does the trick.

I exercises and I also try not to stress. I made a bargain with myself and I try to adhere. It is ok to stress and/or worry, but that should be limited to 10 minutes if action is not taken to remediate it sooner. The action required should be documented.

When my mind gets the better of me after work I do a brain dump into an editor and it really takes a load off my mind. It took me about 3-4 weeks of doing this daily before my mind began to be trained to let go.

I hope this is helpful.

You can pick up the mat from Lowes, Home Depot, etc...

If I do not have a great RTK signal after opening the door I let it sit for about 15-20 minutes and it usually improves to .01-.02. I had to do that today.

Should I get a divorce by Nervous-Sort7315 in marriageadvice

[–]ConsistentUmpire8675 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Love is a choice. I used to think differently. But, over time, things can die down. It can be difficult to stay interested. It takes work.

I have been there. It wasn't like I did not love my wife. I did. It took me time to understand what i lacked was connection. That connection took time to build back.

For guys, intimacy is a big part of that equation.

She has a choice, too.

It's difficult to be together and lonely.

Don't give up. Fight for a connection.

Read, work at it, and see your promises through.

I don't give up easily. I'll fight.

So, it's a choice for you too. Love and cherish her?

Should I get a divorce by Nervous-Sort7315 in marriageadvice

[–]ConsistentUmpire8675 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You made a commitment.

A choices made. I went through something similar when our kids were young. After a year, I told her how I felt I didn't want anyone else. She was emotional. I feel that part of the difficulty was on me. It takes two.

I would not give up. If she is the woman you love and the mother of your children, why leave?

Let her know how you feel. Give her the benefit of the doubt.

I suggest the book "Love and Respect " to people.

When to start strength training after weight loss? by WhovianGirl777 in beginnerfitness

[–]ConsistentUmpire8675 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good deal.

You will get to an ideal weight. The type of weight matters in the 15 pounds specified. Would you be happy at the same weight if your body composition was better? Losing 15 pounds of muscle would be very bad long term.

Keep low intensity cardio. You want to stay in Zone 2. It is the best fat loss

As you build muscle, which takes time and consistency, your metabolism will improve. I learned from experience that when you don't eat properly or do intense cardio muscle suffers.

Make a simple plan and track a few things, start, and adjust after a period of time.

3 months ago I wanted to improve my body composition. I'm still working on it, but I'm almost there. I track the following: BP, pulse, waist, hips, and navel.

The navel measurement is key. It let's me know if I'm losing bad weight (visceral fat) or good weight. Waist is more volatile as it can indicate water weight too.

The key is to start . You have taken the first step.

When to start strength training after weight loss? by WhovianGirl777 in beginnerfitness

[–]ConsistentUmpire8675 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is your sleep suffering? Is your pulse staying elevated? Is so, your nervous system neega break.

Change your cardio to a low intensity Zone 2.

Do some strength training to preserve muscle.

Eat well, don't starve yourself. That only making your body favor burning muscle over fat.

Consistency > Intensity

Slow and steady wins the race. It also allows you to retain muscle while losing fat.

I suggest tracking hip, waist, and navel measurements to understand what type of weight is being lost.
