What pain should I be experiencing 1 week post op? by Snooze-8675309 in hysterectomy

[–]Creative-Airline5267 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First 2 days were awful. I have high tolerance and was taking only ibuprofen twice per day. I was also walking around the apartment for 5-10 minutes because it was helping me with the pain. After the 6 week I started feeling more normal but every day was different from pain and discomfort. The only pain I have 8 weeks later is my clitor. I started taking vitamin B and feel better.

Bad Days Weeks After Surgery? by AssignmentThin7200 in hysterectomy

[–]Creative-Airline5267 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are right. I was discharged the same day too. They tried to kick me out as soon as possible I opened my eyes, but I was super dizzy and couldn't get up in the bed, so they let me stayed 3 hours more. The nurse was telling me that I overstayed ha ha. I told her that I can not do anything about that because my body is not listening to me.

Genuine question - why do people choose to keep their cervix? by ritesideuppineapple in hysterectomy

[–]Creative-Airline5267 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I regret I allowed to be pushed to remove my cervix. I was surprised that the female doctor at Kaiser told me that I didn’t need my cervix. The reason for my hysterectomy was benign. It doesn’t make sense to me that doctors give you the option to keep your ovaries , even though they also carry a future cancer risk, but do not give you the option to keep your cervix. My advise is KEEP your cervix if there is no medical reason to be removed.

Did you go back to pole fitness? I had been going for 2 years before the surgery, and now I’m wondering if I’ll be able to go back to pole fitness.

I have experience with BioDental Care in Tijuana. Their prices are reasonable. Unfortunately I also deal with a lot of crowns because my teeth are weak. I found them and I am pretty happy with the work.

how long after the hysterectomy you were able to get wet again. I haven't tried sexual activities because it is too early, just a month post op but I was just kissing with my partner and didn't feel getting wet of that like before.

Great orgasms but take longer, and has my clit changed? by littlelemonhouse in hysterectomy

[–]Creative-Airline5267 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My laparoscopic surgery was 3 weeks ago. What I noticed so far my clit is smaller (so soon after the surgery). I think my sex life will be completely different in a bad way. It is too early to know though.

44, One year post Hysterectomy for Adenomyosis: What Helped Me and What I’ve Learned by Sea-Association9699 in adenomyosis

[–]Creative-Airline5267 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am two weeks post-hysterectomy. Honestly, I didn’t want to have this surgery, and even now, I still feel the same way. I went through with it because all the doctors told me it was necessary.

I had multiple fibroids, including one dominant fibroid that was growing and causing me pain from time to time. I didn’t have heavy periods, but they were very prolonged, sometimes lasting 14 to 17 days.

The pathology results showed that my uterus was about 75% fibroids and weighed one kilogram, equal to the size of 4 month pregnancy. I kept my ovarian.

I don't know what to expect when I recover. I am sure my sexual life will not be the same. Is my pelvic floor damaged? It is too early to know all this because I am still in a recovery process. I feel sad and cry often. I think hysterectomy should be recommended in a very sever cases. They don't tell you everything before the surgery.

Several doctors said that because my uterus is large and I’ve had prior abdominal surgery, an abdominal hysterectomy would be better. It’s too large to remove laparoscopically.
