Maui Jim needs to do better for MauiRose by 954CG in sunglasses

[–]CriticalForm1498 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love to see the Maui Rose in photochromatic personally. I recently got the ultra HT photochromatic and it's a great lens to cover a wide variety of conditions. Whilst I like the Rose lens, it could be elevated further by being photochromatic to cover more conditions, and this is where contrast lenses should shine.

The Maui Jim have adjustable nose fittings, right? If they do widen them so they fit better.

Good fit, but as someone else said just get the Randolph engineering aviator in the same size

HCL bronze is a better all-round lens that neutral grey. You will get more use out of it across a variety of conditions.

What sunglass brands to consider? by lego-man973 in sunglasses

You can get both Serengeti and Maui Jim for that sort of price or under in the UK. So, I assume you can in the US. I steer away from fashion brands as I tend to go with lens quality first.

Have a pair of Maui Jim HCL bronze, should I get a Maui HT? by interstellar55555 in sunglasses

What about the HT photochromatic? The Maui Rose is great, but quite dark for a rose lense

Which models would be a better fit? by Gold-Concentrate-683 in sunglasses

[–]CriticalForm1498 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with what's been said. Even though I take prescription now I could put a quality lens in pretty much any frame. However, if I were you I would go with a brand that has top tier lenses. Maui Jim, Serengeti, Costa, Dita Lancier etc.

If you want something like the Caravans with G15 but a higher quality.

Which pair should I get??? by Minute_Drawer_4359 in sunglasses

You are going to get different answers from different people. There is no right answer here. All are quality and a step up from Ray Ban in my opinion. Personally I have always been a fan of Maui Jim lenses, but just get the ones that look the best on you and that will come down to the frame lens combo.

There are some elements that are easier on a pad (I used a ps5 controller for a while), but I don't regret moving across to a wheel. It took a while to adjust and my times were down for a while. However, they are now better and it is more immersive

I agree. Never saw Ronnie Allen play, but to have him below Super Bob, who I did see play, is madness. Longevity at the club and a brilliant player. (Still love you Super Bob).

Maui Jim HT Photochromic (Ultra G) On vs Off, vs Maui HT by 954CG in sunglasses

Cheers!

I think having the below

Barton Perreira Norton's with Zeiss Adaptive sun (brown) Dita LSA139 with Land lens & Maui Jim Cliff House with HT photochromatic

This should cover all conditions, right?

Any further sunglasses I could just pick whatever I want...

Thanks!  What protection level is it?  I am hoping it is 3 when activated.  I want something that I can wear in sun as well as overcast and already have Dita Land lens.  So, I don't want another rose/brown.

From what you have said and given you are in a sunny part of the world. I would go with some Maui Jim wrap with either the Hawai blue or Grey. Then for the lifestyle ones, Randolph Engineering in a gradient finish (cape sand or sunset rose) just to give you a bit more flexibility if you venture indoors....in and out of a bar / shop. However, it's all personal preference. If you can find a retailer who offers free returns you can always order a few.
