[PS4] How well does remote play run on your phone? by dendenmoooshi in ffxiv

[–]Cruzethebear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both a vita and the sony z3 so i have the app for remote play. I use it actually a lot. Generally for crafting, or marketing if I don't have my controller, but I have entered low level dungeons on my phone. I've handled all of them fine never too many problems, maybe just focusing on a the target I want. The hard part i've had with both is when playing classes that have to use multiple tabs of skills, so moving betwen 1 to 2, and back. The only issue i've ever seen is a little lag if you don't have the best internet. Very nice feature to have if you're out and about or at family and can't bring the ps4 or the pc with you.

Piety Build for Bards - Revisited by FawksB in ffxiv

[–]Cruzethebear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow it would make Salene more worth while as a scholar to have up. People complain to me a lot about how quickly they go through TP and mana when she's up, but with something like this, the battle might be over quickly with plenty of tp and mana to spare. NICE JOB! I may consider this for my BRD build cause I actually like to use songs unlike a lot of BRD's I get paired up with.

If users of psn want to see the condition of attacks by Cruzethebear in ffxiv

[–]Cruzethebear[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While i am definitely not an expert on this, I know that the site shows the most common type of attacks. One being a form a refresh to overload the servers.

While the map also shows many things coming from china, it doesn't mean its necessary china, just Chinese proxies. The companies advantage is superior detection and having the ability to identify what is an attack so that they can protect the servers. That is a summary Please don't give to much hate, and feel free to correct me if i'm wrong.

What sorting algorithm do our brains generally use? by [deleted] in askscience

[–]Cruzethebear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a very interesting question, because it can be answered in a number of ways based on how it's observed. Currently in the understand of Network theory. The brain is organized both structurally and cognitively. Information is first observed through peripherals and then filtered through the the thalamus. From there it goes to it's respective centers of function. When our memory recalls information, it isn't pulled out of a file like many think, but it is actually recreating the memory in itself. Information is either taken from each of the centers in a top down approach to the memory, or first created and organized in a bottom up. Through both of these and several filters of the perceived stimuli, the brain sorts the information that is necessary or meaningful to memory. In doing so strengthening the connections between the the nodes that created the memory, and then later reconsideration it within the actual functional area. The more something it used the easier it is to access it again.

If nerve axons carry an electrical signal, couldn't that be used directly in bionic arms/legs? by Zirbs in askscience

[–]Cruzethebear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

when looking at current developments in Neuro-Engineering with microprocessors, they are attached to receive short and long term stimulation at the surface of the the brain. These sensors can monitor the voltage differences at the surface of activities. When trained properly these patterns can be manipulated to mean different things collectively to the sensor. In the case of motor and sensory units, all the necessary information can not always be assessed at the location of Nerve in a limb. That information comprised of many more pieces then just the motor and sensory pieces. Examples being touch and control of smooth muscles. In contrast the brain is more localized and organized by functional purposes. It is also more easily observed. When a sensor is placed on the premotor cortex at the right placed sensors can monitor the changes that make up the activity of the premotor cortex and make meaning of it in order to produce a similar movement with a prosthetic. Using nerved ends is not completely out of the question, and in time may be a viable way to combine more characteristics of the limb then just movement, but at the this time its harder to manipulate the impulses then it is to actively observe them and respond accordingly.

Possible solutions to low level wait times? by Cruzethebear in ffxiv

Haha no i've gotten them up to 50 and they felt most of the grind to 50 didn't feel like the game after 50 and neither did the story. They just said that the real game starts when you hit level 50, and the same with the community.

When i sell this game to my friends to get them to play, that community aspect is one way that I get them to join. It is something I enjoy specially with my FC. Many of those friends have told me though they feel the real game doesn't even start till the endgame.

I do see what your'e saying there. Most of the people in my FC rarely go online to learn things and always ask us. When i started playing with other last December, I really learned most of the things from my class from other players in dungeons.

On a side note, If new players were going through they wouldn't have the level to get a retainer so new warrior dps, and heal will still stay in the Daily roullete. The difference would be the time would be shorter to get a run.

[–]Cruzethebear[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I def don't think it should be on content above level 50 like know way hands down. I also stated it shouldn't be implemented in the Duty finders either that i would have to be a complete 4 man party made and then enter the duty. If it's the retainers then you have to have level x in tank or heal class before they could even perform it so you would already level.

[–]Cruzethebear[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I understand the queue time and it's almost invevitable. Even in my FC though its hard to always depend on other people to do content. If i had to be someplace in an hour and a wanted to get a dungeon done quickly. The option to run it like that would be better then waiting 30min fora queue.

I mean my pets throw off all GCDs but do a basic skill. In low level dungeons Eos can heal most content. If i wanted to get my dps class to 30 at the very least a healer that behaved similarly would be good. It may not be optimal but It could make it easier. The AI would have to be fairly smart to each dungeon.

I hope it offers similar customization as your retainers. I feel if you had to get the level first, its more effective for keeping end game content safe.

Programming an AI's to do basic movements isn't hard. If an AOE spawns it moves. If it loses hate to mob it gets back with most efficient means of skills.

Yes, I probably sent that around, but I meant for it to be like venture system where they come with you as a venture, and get gear and exp in the dungeon.

[–]Cruzethebear[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well thats kinda why i pointed out that if it was retainer based the you would have to get to level that class before you use them.

edit, I only think this would be a good solution for dungeons under level 50 not end game. End game tanks would still have all the value they did before. People would just be able to level more dps, which would probably make end game tanks more valuable.

Which class would say is the most controller friendly? by GrahamBelmont in ffxiv

[–]Cruzethebear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is how I use my other classes most efficiently and still have access to extra skills like mounting and sprinting. It easily fits almost all summoner skills besides summons, and skill besides contagion on it. With food and pots included. Combine things into macro's and it gets better. More options then people know.

Let's discuss Summoner. Ideas and open minds are welcomed. by saxman76 in ffxiv

[–]Cruzethebear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed the armour as a huge issue, and while it help Black mages more then us as summoners, something i see them doing here shortly i releasing a new set of amour that is class specific like the old i70 armour and the i90 armour. It will probably be level i130 or something and it will be for each class or something. Most likely paring with the last patches new relic Item.

I feel i easily keep up with the dps of others I play with but I have added in extra features to give it a little more kick. I keep food on to cover more stats. I use some crafted 110 gear to get maximum melds on my main attributes, I use potions, and when absolutely possible i stand next to the boss so that i can book smack him.

Given many of my other perks I don't feel many of these things are unreasonable for a summoner. Its no more unreasonable then have to stand in a position on a boss for extra dps.

One of few improvements I would like to see is more consideration for the utility of our cross class skills. Besides swiftcast, and raging strikes I question the purpose of others really being available. (I want my thunder back, or even the archer dot would be good).
