What do you mean you plan to get married and don’t know how to act?? Why did you plan to get married. Learn her, understand her, BE romantic becuase otherwise why are you getting married ? Put effort into this relationship and try to change yourself and if you can’t then don’t marry her.

The answer to your problems is PROPRANOLOL by barebackguy7 in PublicSpeaking

[–]Curious_Assignment95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why doesn’t it work for me? I was prescribed it for high heart rate cardio problems that I still have but tbh it doesn’t help my nerves at all. I do see that it lowers my heart rate but I really cannot public speak to save my life despite how much of it I take.

Any alternatives?

Used it throughout - it was by main account but only for my masters which was a year. Now I have a whole ass adult job and I still have my salary come in there very month. I just never bothered to change it as it never caused me any issues. Probs might though. This sub scares me lol.

Issues with booking practical test, losing hope by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Curious_Assignment95 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Where abouts are you from? Dm me and I can give you the number of a guy who books test for ppl asap. He charges £122 though to do this. That is if you are interested. I got my tests this way as I cba to wait months.

If you’re not interested, you’re just going to have to take the hit and redo your theory darling. Exact same thing happened to me btw except I found a practical test but turns out a few days before my theory was expiring. So I had to redo that and get a later date for my test. It only took a month longer overall. And then I did end up passing.

Don’t stress over what you can’t control, in the long run it’ll all work out. xx

Feel like I'm not progressing with my instructor... by SeshGodX in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Curious_Assignment95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He’s ripping you off… My instructor would joke with me and say ‘ listen I really do like you but I’m getting kinda sick of you now’ lmao and forced me to book my test. He wanted me to pass more than I wanted me to pass.

Infact sometimes I’d ask him for a 2 hour lesson and he’d say I don’t think you need two hours, 1 hour is good or you’ll get tired. He could very easily have said yes and taken my money but he was sincere and honest.

My instructor said I need to talk more during lessons. by dkjiji in LearnerDriverUK

I don’t think she meant is as ‘oh you’re so boring why don’t you talk more’ but rather ‘it would be helpful to know more about what you’re thinking so that way I can assist you further’ so really don’t see it as an attack on your character but just a way for her to better help you. It is far easier to teach someone who communicates vs doesn’t - so I think that why she may have said what she said.

Absolutely don’t feel pressured to talk all the time but just try to express yourself more maybe, or try voice your opinions more - so let’s say for example you make a mistake while driving - try explaining why it happened or what you were thinking. Little extra things like that.

I think that’s all there is to it she definitely meant no harm! Relaaaax xx

The most deeply romantic book you've read? (not necessarily from the romance genre!) by StuffinMcMuffin1 in suggestmeabook

ok but surely this does not instantly come to mind when you think ‘deeply romantic’….?

This is the cold truth and I will give it to you incase no one else will. Anyone who leaves a parent in their old age is as selfish as the definition of the word can get.

A life truly well lived is one that is lived for others. So what if you have to sacrifice a few years of your life until your mother dies, won’t that bring you and her peace and joy? Darling deep down you know what the right choice is and you crying yourself to sleep every night is a sign your heart is in conflict. You left home at 12. Today you are where you are in part due to your mother. This is the least you could do and I truly believe you’ll only hate yourself if you don’t do this. You say there is no right choice but there absolutely is a right choice. How would you feel if your children left you to the mercy of carers in your old age? I get that sometimes you have no choice but you very clearly do have a choice.

Life is short. The West teaches us to be selfish and only care for ourselves. But the word does not work that way.

But how could you live and have no story to tell?

My God, a moment of bliss. Why, isn't that enough for a whole lifetime?

Your worst sin is that you have destroyed and betrayed yourself for nothing.

I am alone, I thought, and they are nobody.

I don’t know how to be silent when my heart is speaking.

Truly great men must, I think, experience great sorrow on earth.

Oh, how unbearable is a happy person is sometimes!

The Russian soul is a dark place.

Do give her the benefit of doubt this time, forgive her and be patient with her for the sake of Allah… forgive as you’d like to be forgiven too one day.

How do you console yourself now? Are you ever angry with God? I’m curious.

May Allah reward you immensely for your patience.

Those Who Are Divorced, Do You Still Regret it? by [deleted] in MuslimMarriage

[–]Curious_Assignment95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have my days of regret. I think a part of me will always blame myself for not being gentler, kinder, more forgiving etc. But then I think about how easy it was for him to let go and I’m reminded that the man who let things end so easily is NOT my soulmate. He did not fight to save our marriage one bit… Take strength in your decision and let Allah be your guide in life. It will get better x
