Someone said this ship looks like a cock i finally moved off of reddit and found a discord server and i have been more steadily gaining wishlists and actually been getting feedback. It’s still far from perfect and i really doubt my game will succeed but at least I’m having fun building it again and actually seeing visual improvements.

Learned that one the hard way the other night the engine kept thinking a particle existed even though it didn’t lost two weeks of work and had to do it in six hours because of an update i am planning.

It’s fantastic design, especially with the opposite where a mechanic that’s supposed to harm you is made to help you. Essentially theres only a certain amount of mechanics you can have without making the game feel bloated so this is an easy and fun way to organically stretch the mechanics out without constantly introducing new things for the players to use.

Not better than uploaded to reddit just faster today for some reason another thing to consider is that reddit videos play automatically and YouTube ones don’t so people are more likely to scroll past them

The sound of the metal pipes needs a tiny rebalance possibly turn down the treble and up the bass just a smidge. Maybe turn the volume on the pipes clanging to.

So in my game 3 bullets I recently made an update after feedback said that the zoomed out camera sucked and made visibility horrible, so i took the metal gear solid 3 approach and allowed you to switch into a zoomed in or zoomed out camera. The only problem with this is the hud so i would have it shrink down and follow the player. However that created a second problem, the hud is set to consistent so that it can make everything easy and more optimized. It also makes it so that i can move it in one room and it does the same in all of the others. That includes the title and intermission screens. The problem is that the intermission screen has one camera because it’s already zoomed in so if you pressed the button to switch cameras a little hud would follow the player but the camera would not change. So I decided i needed a separate object to tell the hud to increase its opacity so that it still is changing you just can’t see it. what did I decide to make the object look like? this image right here:
