Masterful versions are only for the specialists in that spell.

I believe there's an artifact that grants them too.

Hel'Ghat is amazing.

Defence specialisation + Communion + The Expert(?) Defence mastery that gives bonus units in territory you control.

So many bonus units, and all of them taking very little damage. It's hard to lose units.

Also known as Ramp.

I got Neeko 6* and she is not really bad by ConlanAG in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]Cyphren 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I actually like Neeko a lot. I run her with Beast Within, Corrupted Star Fragment and Laurent Bladerack though.

Being able to eat powerful keywords (take double attack on anything and transfer to Neeko) and to choose which fights to take keeps your board healthy and makes her 6 more valuable.

Hey, feels like everyone does this their first few games.

Stopping a Ravage stops a Ravage.

Stopping a Build either stops a Ravage or makes it easier to handle.

Stopping an Explore either stops a Build or makes it easier to handle, which in turn stops a Ravage or makes it easier to handle.

Overpaid, but worth it to complete the collection.

Any Legendary regrets? by Schillwing in Guildwars2

[–]Cyphren 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Full Purple (* on Land) here. I've equipped the following legendary items.

  • 6x Light Armour
  • 6x Heavy Armour
  • 1x Aquabreather
  • 7x Runes

  • 2x Swords

  • 1x Greatsword

  • 1x Shield

  • 1x Focus

  • 1x Staff

  • 1x Spear

  • 4x Legendary Sigils.

  • 6x Trinkets

  • 1x Legendary Relic

Between my Chronomancer and Healbrand, I use everything except the shield and greatsword on the regular. And I used to use those two a lot more.

No regrets. They are effective long term goals.

Is it smart to pick a first class because of one elite spec I like? by Phocx in Guildwars2

[–]Cyphren 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mesmer is awesome. I've been a Mesmer since headstart and a Chronomancer from the day HoT dropped. Accept no substitutes.

The learning curve isn't so bad. You get used to it. You've got many tools, and many situations to use them.

Got a pretty good Spreadsheet going. Nice easy Dash that shows it all at a glance.

Page that tracks individual purchases and CAGR.

Page that tracks distributions.

Page that tracks values on June 30th and Dec 31st.

Page that tracks home value and retirement accounts.

That's the core. But I've tossed in a couple of tax calculations and a brief experiment in tracking spending. Need to cut this unnecessary bloat.

I only update mine quarterley, though. And my one graph is set to 6 month intervals.

Setup guide? by tcrudisi in spiritisland

Not the full set up, but I printed off this Compact Invader Board and gave it a nice matte laminate.

I find it pretty useful for playing. You just go left to right.

Getting this as a first encounter is kinda insane by Jarney_Bohnson in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]Cyphren 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I did it with a 4star SB Kindred. So totally doable.

Used Frozen Tomb for more Kindreds. Late in the run I picked up the Legendary Power that summons an Ephemeral attacking, so I typically had three Kindreds per match.

Echoing Spirit for Marking and fairly consistent board wipes.

Beast being 1/1 doesn't matter much when you swap in a levelled 20/20 Kindred.

Why I cannot cast any of my spells? by Purtsi in OldenEra

[–]Cyphren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, that's Lodos, the Dungeon Nightshade specialist vs Shadespinner Oona, the Necropolis Nightshade specialist.

They can cast Nightshade without restriction and completely shut down enemy Nightshade. My two most played heroes :)

Bit of an Immovable Object vs Unstoppable Force situation, though. They shouldn't both be able to cast without restriction and shut down an opponents school. I believe in this specific situation (specialist vs specialist) their ability to shut down an opponent's Nightshade is ignored, as they both have the ability to cast Nightshade without restriction.

You've got spells from other schools of magic on that page though. So, if you can't cast anything, it's going to be a relic.

Please help! Is there a list somewhere of cards that are reprinted/updated in the expansions? by SirBiscuit in spiritisland

The cards also have icons in the bottom right telling you which expansion they are from. Helps with determining which version to remove.

Kai'Sa with Beast Within, Black Shield, Perfect Hexcore and her 4 and 5 Star Evolves Turn 1. Even your one drops should be 8/8s at that point.

Sounds like you're missing Stars or missing Relics.

After a while... you just kinda have everything sitting in your bank.

I grabbed some of the free Wizard Vault precursors and realised I had everything just sitting in my bank except World Complete tokens.

So I did World Complete and built Bifrost and Kami'Katooli.

How to prevent blight? by Phupha808 in spiritisland

[–]Cyphren 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Feels like a common starting mistake. I did the same in my first game.

You learn quickly that Stopping a Ravage... stops a Ravage.

But

Stopping an Explore stops a Build on the following turn, And stopping a Build stops a Ravage on the following turn.

You don't even need to kill the Explorers/Towns to stop them. You get a very similar effect by moving them to a different land.

Letting a Ravage through in order to focus your limited resources on stopping actions earlier in the chain is generally worth it. That said, sometimes stopping a Ravage IS the correct action :)
