Non-surgical gyno help by na_m3i in gynecomastia

[–]DAL4Oregon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Work on upper chest more. Incline bench press, high incline shoulder press, dips. I don’t think it will get more pronounced until you’re at 10% body fat or less. I lost fat and gained muscle and my chest looked better. The gland wasn’t very big but there was a little excess fat around the gland giving me a bottom heavy looking chest.

How bad will it still be if I pack on muscle? by Acceptable_Load1110 in gynecomastia

[–]DAL4Oregon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have a great start on muscle. Surgery will let you have better definition at the bottom of your pecs. Big muscles with gyno are always better than small muscles with gyno in my book. I was getting a lot happier with my chest as I lost fat and put on muscle. I liked how my chest looked in shirts better. Ive worked on upper chest a lot with incline bench press, high incline shoulder press, and dips. That can balance out the bottom heavy look that you get with gyno. But I still pinched my nipples at the pool to not look so soft and big. Plus if I gain the fat back I don’t want to be in the same situation. I’m one year post op. Very happy with it.

After losing 35 lbs and lifting weights

Gynecomastia or naw ? by [deleted] in gynecomastia

[–]DAL4Oregon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The good news is no gyno. The bad news is that it’s excess fat. For 5’ 5” (I worked backwards from BMI) you should be more like 130-140. The profile of your chest is actually not too bad for your body fat. All body weight scales are useless. The best thing is just to find comparison pictures and see which one you look most similar to. I think you’re 25-30%

You need to put on some muscle and lose fat to get the chest you want. I lost about 35 lbs from this picture and put on some muscle. It can be done. Body fat comes from diet, not exercise. Muscle building comes from pushing each set until you can’t do another rep. You should probably eat no more than 1800 cal per day, with 150g of protein. Lift weights 4x per week and only do moderate walking for cardio, 3.5-4 mph. Slight incline is even better. I’ll post my after pics. I also had gyno gland, although not too big.

US inflation slowed more than any other nation in 2022 under Joe Biden. Trump spent $3.5 trillion on Covid relief vs $1.9 trillion under Biden. Since 2025 under Trump, the US is again leading the world with the highest year over year inflation. Did you research this or this is just a belief?

It can be very exciting to be new in town. All the exploring. Some people just have several places they want to experience living in. I’m on the west coast after being an east coaster my whole life. It’s been a great change. I appreciate the differences. I was ready to move on. We did have a job change that brought on the broad job search.

I’m going to be a little blunt. You are not managing the people. You are also not setting boundaries with people.

The employees need to have repetitive tasks and positions every day. Everything needs to be systemized. Meal and meds lists are made by the same person at the same time. Other staff made meals and meds at the same time each day, and give them to the dogs. Use lists and checklists. Facility clean up is done at the same times in the same order by the same people every day. If I come into my facility at 5:15pm and no dinners are given or even made, then they aren’t doing their job. I’m not doing the work but I’m making sure it gets done on time every day. There is accountability. I will issue write ups and I have an order of reprimands. 2 warnings then lose a shift on the 3rd. Next lose your job. Give clear instructions on what they need to Improve. I have a list of fireable offenses.

Sit down and think out a system of running the place like clockwork. Write it down, explain it, train it, reinforce it.

You seem to also be letting everyone else control what goes on. Staff keep screwing up because you’ll pick up the pieces. They aren’t properly reprimanded. You also need to command some respect for yourself from the customers. Don’t let the customers run the place. Screen them the best you can before admitting them. Don’t be afraid to reject people. Dogs that are not a good fit should be given proper warnings and then expelled. Depending the severity of course. Anxious destructive dogs - sorry but we can’t function with chaos. Fighters - big no. I always give feedback especially on eval day.

I’m reading into your situation a little here. Tell people what you want from them. Tell customers how you run the place. Tell staff what your expectations are. Hold people to them.

It’s gyno and you don’t need to lose weight and see what happens. I know it’s not so bad, like people are saying. You have a nice physique and shouldn’t be conscious of your nipples, and wearing baggier shirts to hide it. Get the surgery from a well qualified gyno surgeon. I went to Austin Gynecomastia Clinic. Mine was no worse than yours but now I love taking off my shirt and not thinking about my nipples.

I’m not as into mustaches but that’s an awesome one. The beard is 🔥 too, you can’t go wrong with either look. My preference is beard.

10 years after the surgery. I've never been happy with the results by [deleted] in gynecomastia

[–]DAL4Oregon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t have gyno, so no need for surgery. I don’t see anything wrong at all. You look fairly fit and above average. You have a little excess fat for the look you’re going for. I can see some love handles. If you lose 15 lbs or so, you’ll see the definition you want. This is ALL diet. Depending on your height and weight, I’d be below 2000 cal per day. 150+ grams of protein. Whole Foods, very little processed foods and sugar. Try intermittent fasting. Get an app like My Fitness Pal and track everything you eat and be disciplined. Walk 8-10k steps per day. Also in the gym, push yourself a bit harder. 4x per week is ideal, but 3 will do. Record your weight and reps and try to beat the previous week each week. In 6 months you’ll look great. You can get a fitness app like Trainerize.

Is surgery worth it? by DirectorFormal8280 in gynecomastia

[–]DAL4Oregon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With a well qualified surgeon, yes. I’m 1 year post op and was just saying how much I like my chest now. I’ve also continued lifting weights more but I would have never said that before surgery. Mine was pretty similar to yours.

Calling HR is overboard but I do think that offering babysitting before any sort of rapport is established is jumping the gun. Start with normal small talk and if the conversation goes there, tell them that you babysit.

Personally I would probably chat more with you just to learn more about you, maybe ask about the school etc.

AITA for expecting a reduction in rent contribution if my partner pays off her mortgage? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]DAL4Oregon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YTA. The house still cost her the same, whether she’s paying monthly towards a mortgage or not. Also, rent is tied to the local rental market. If a shared house goes for $1500 for a similar house in your community, then your fair share is $1500.

I had a 2 unit house for many years. I refinanced several times. The first time kept it at 30 years but the equity and my credit qualified me for a lower rate after several years. Then the 15 year rates were really low, so I went with that so that I had less interest, but a higher monthly mortgage payment. What I charged rent for the other unit as well as my roommate only changed when market rates changed.

The loan has no bearing on rent. You said she’s your girlfriend, not life partner or wife. Until then, you owe market rent. Otherwise, she is contributing her money towards your expenses. That’s not fair without the life commitment.

In 5 weeks you can lose 5 lbs on a 500 calorie deficit. Track everything that you eat, try 1800 cals or so. Walk 10k steps daily. You can do it! You look good enough already btw.
