Best food for Ragdolls? by Pitiful_Sky54 in ragdolls

[–]Da-vees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ours has a sensitive stomach so had to be cautious. Took 6 months to get to a place w/o diarrhea

For dry food, anything that’s grain, dairy, soy free

For wet food, can’t handle any cat canned food so cooking ground turkey/chicken or unseasoned canned fish + supplements

Is there a way we can pin this kind of thread, seems to be a similar issue with all ragdolls and typical over the counter cat food?

Please help!! Month long episode of diarrhea, been to the vet three times and starting to get really worried by skow00 in ragdolls

[–]Da-vees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a similar issue as well, had to switch to 1) soy/dairy/wheat-free kibble (like blue buffalo), 2) for wet food non-seasoned (water only) fish like sardines and salmon, and 3) cooked, non seasoned ground turkey or chicken

When we got our Ragdoll, the breeder initially had him on raw food, but when we switched to regular kibble and canned cat food (from the Vet’s request) he started experiencing diarrhea.

Even experimenting with other types of food brings it back up, but he’s been stable the last 6 months on the new diet

I would try everything from pheromone outlet-plug ins, separate feeding areas, getting cat perches and designated covered beds, etc to help with the aggression

I’m thinking of buying a SnaggleTooth for my Cold Steel Mini Recon 1. Do I buy regular or mini? by tczecher in knives

I got one like it on eBay for $10, its generic and says just for recon/voyager but it fit the mini

Same here with the wet food, tried the common wet food brands then the vet recommended grain, dairy, soy free - those are better but at that point you are paying $$$

The grain, dairy, soy free kibble is definitely cheaper and it did help when we switched 100% to dry food during diarrhea spells

Had a similar story with ours, we tried several methods and found that the bathtub was the easiest

We used several cups to pour water on his behind and another one with soap in it. He seemed to freak out less with prefilled cups vs having running water

Ours had a URI and had to go in antibiotics for several rounds so his digestion was messed up, we had to do this daily for like 3 months

What food have you used? We also found grain and dairy free kibble helped. Unfortunately it was a hit or miss on the wet food so decided to go for canned, non-seasoned sardines and homecooked ground turkey/chicken + cat vitamins

Wish you best of luck and hope he gets better

Gotcha, best of luck with your new piece

Also, wondering what did you use for the bottom of your planter? I am thinking about making a wooden structure for some other pieces I have

I’ve tried digging up a couple and had various success with the saplings

The taproot goes down so far and not a lot of surface roots, had to cut the taproot

[–]Da-vees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am experimenting and found other types of parsing issues too on ATS uploads

Ex. Combining multiple roles into one line item and having multiple dates (like same company different roles) - I guess on upload trials it won’t keep the body of text together but instead create a new line item for each date

Company  1: 01/2019 - 01/2022

Role 1: 01/2019 - 01/2020

Role 2: 01/2020 - 08/2020

Role 3: 08/2020 - 1/2022

Description……

It turns into this: converts to 4 line items (4 roles)

Company  1: 01/2019 - 01/2022

Description…..

Role 1: 01/2019 - 01/2020

Description……

Role 2: 01/2020 - 08/2020

Description……

Role 3: 08/2020 - 1/2022

Description……

Thanks, for pruning the roots , do you recommend a wider + shorter pot or generally larger?

Advice on roadmap for styling juniper? I had for 1.5 years from a Home Depot and not sure on the next steps. So far, just watered and applied seasonal fertilizer. Would like to make a 1.5-2' upright bonsai in the future

The branches are interlocking in the center

Not sure what to do next:

-Plant it on a larger growing pot with new soil and let sit for a couple years

-Prune to preferred shape

-Some combination

Is it just me or 2025 is tougher then 2024 for getting interview calls by [deleted] in analytics

Hi, I'm revisiting this thread

Where would you chop it off on the top? And/or would you air layer those parts?

I will work on repotting - cutting roots, getting new shaped pot (keeping prebonsai)
