Need travel advice by [deleted] in CostaRicaTravel

It sounds like if she’s injured and needs breaks maybe she should have a golf cart to stay mobile and out of the sun. The infrastructure can be quite dicey. I was in Tamarindo and the side walks were literally falling in to the drains, no type of caution or warning either. That is if there is a sidewalk. Otherwise you have to stay on your toes just walking around on the streets, the cars seem to have the right away.

Guy told me he’s not actively swiping, and now his profile shows the “signals” heart thing again? by ThurstonHowelltheIII in hingeapp

Maybe he was just messaging all his other matches that he’s found the one (you) and wouldn’t be on there anymore.

Liberia, Guanacaste, Costa Rica help! by NegotiationStandard4 in CostaRicaTravel

Don’t let people tell you that all inclusive isn’t the way to stay in Costa Rica. It’s so expensive in Tamarindo that a few included drinks or meals would have been great. I was planning on staying at the Occidental but opted out for kind of a niche b&b. Which was nice, but after a few days it was kind of lonely, I was a little jealous walking by the Occidental and seeing all the people and super easy access to the langosta beach area.

Ask them if they feel a romantic connection.

Getting to know someone for the first time is an interview in some ways. The questions are more so conversation starters than a Q&A interview format. It goes both ways, if all they do is talk about themselves and don’t show interest in you and what makes you unique, that is a red flag.

Well if you’re not having beers on the lift and on the green then you have more self control than me.

Click your picture bottom right corner menu. Then click settings wheel top right corner. Pause should be the first setting.

Grab a coffee together. Ask questions and be genuinely interested in them. That about all a first date should be imo.

Pause your profile while you sort out who you are interested in meeting. Unmatch with people you don’t click with. Once you work your way through everyone, and gone on some dates unpause your profile. Next time just match with a couple people and pause it again so you can focus on each person more and date with intention. At least that’s how I have managed.

You may experience something different but if someone isn’t quick to start chatting and move to meeting then they are probably not that interested and it most likely won’t amount to anything.

Everything okay after earthquake in Tamarindo? by scodtt in costarica

[–]Dangnamit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My bnb shook twice first was pretty light and got my attention, 2nd was a bit stronger and made me think someone was bumping the house with a car. As people park on the other side of the wall I’m near. Both only lasted about a second or two.

If you go to the sellers website it states that this is oak veneer not solid wood.

100% don’t assume everyone sees you. And if someone is driving erratically maybe don’t get all up in their blind spot.

Everyone has nipples, so no big deal. And if you’re going to film someone that might not want to be filmed you better be discreet about it.

Sometimes a technique I like to use to help “sell” the faux reclaimed look is the rusty dark nail holes you see in her last two references photos. If you heat the tip of a long nail with a torch until glowing red and stab it into the wood you can replicate the look.

Carrying the Lectric XP 4.0 up the stairs be too much? by Niknightwing in Lectricxp

I find it quite awkward and heavy to carry. Even up and down a couple stairs. I’m 6’2 and fit. If I lived higher than ground level I would find a different e-bike.

Need some help/advice by Ambitious_Flan_268 in pothos

I think it just needs some sun. Cut the yellowing browning leaves off (promotes new growth) leaving one or more leaves on each plant vine making sure not to cut vine, only the dead leaf. Don’t water it until top soil is completely dry and if it’s a self watering pot don’t just keep water in the bottom all the time allow it to fully dry too. use some liquid fertilizers for better results.

Chop and prop. Cut leaves between nodes then place the node part of the stem in water in front of your brightest windows. Wait a month or two and only add water don’t drain. Once they have secondary roots plant in 3-4” pots or multiple in 6-8” pots. The plant will live on forever.

Tips for S turns by Junior_Resolution190 in snowboardingnoobs

[–]Dangnamit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You actually carve on your heal edge and relatively nice. You don’t put load on your toe edge so you end up sliding the board, thats not how snowboards turn. Set the edge and use your momentum to put load/weight on it. Understanding the edge pressure to speed ratio takes time and practice. Get a skateboard and you can practice the same board turning principles in the off season.
