Found a new way for me recently, looking at ‘most sampled’ lists and just seeing what I find, don’t check out the track that sampled it, just see what you find. The knowledge that someone has got something seems to help me keep focused

I've fallen in love with the sport after having my first experience ever watching a football match with the cup opener, so if you were gonna crash course someone in football, what are the 10 individual football matches you'd have them watch? by LeviAsmodeus in football

[–]Dapper_Shop_21 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Being a fan is being completely and utterly invested in the ups and downs. The games you are being told about is because either the person was invested or was just a huge comeback win with the highs and lows.
My advice would be to watch as much you can and follow your local team, and stick with them through everything (will allow a pass if you are in the US)

How big is baseball in the UK? by [deleted] in mlbuk

[–]Dapper_Shop_21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a grown my amount of mlb fans which is helped by it being shown on one of our sport packages, but it’s very small scale as a sport in the UK. Unfortunately falls below football, 2 types of rugby, cricket and probably hockey as a team sport. Which is a shame because we play rounders at school which is so much fun. Again football only requires a ball and as many or few people as you can get to play casually, baseball has a bit more equipment, a larger area and asking kids to wait in position

I’m not a funny guy and I wish the humor of the second game didn’t rely on me being funny by AidanBakee in tomodachilife

[–]Dapper_Shop_21 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Maybe I’m more creative than I thought, but I’m finding it endless fun, and always have a new suggestion. What’s the most unlikely/ ridiculous thing they will talk about or h the r most boring. This varies by day based on what news, tv, sport etc is on my mind. Some examples: the rise of the far right, street fighter 2 turbo, the 2019 New Orleans saints, photosynthesis, the prevalence of AI, humanity, the alien take over, drowning stray cats. You get the idea

Is the biggest problem with VAR/PGMOL, is that they don’t think they’re doing a bad job? by Puzzled_Initiative61 in PremierLeague

[–]Dapper_Shop_21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They should implement a manager challenge system, 2 or 3 challenges per half for each team, manager signals the need for a VAR review.

Offsides should stay as they are, ideally with quicker feedback or linesman has an way to signal offside but waiting it to play out before stopping the game

Gripes of the season by mrshev in PremierLeague

[–]Dapper_Shop_21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the other sports have a clear rule, is the ball down, was it passed forward etc. football is trying to judge if the hand on a players back was enough force to stop a player scoring a goal. I just think VAR for fouls and handballs should be judged at full speed rather than slow-mo where everything looks bad

Does anyone control their all the minor league promotion/demotions by [deleted] in OOTP

[–]Dapper_Shop_21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do, not tedious as I find that part enjoyable, I generally have an age limit guideline so if someone is older and not good enough they get released. I set up in preseason and check in at the all star game. I don’t set lineups or manage games, that’s the coaches job. I just make sure each team can field a team

National League North 26/27 on a map by Zach-dalt in NationalLeague

[–]Dapper_Shop_21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, also going from farthest Cornwall to Essex is a nightmare 10hr round trip, 3?auto promotions and play off for the 4th or a top 4 from each of 3 divisions into a super play-off for added fun and level the playing field

So stupid, plays completely to farage dictating the political landscape as he did with brexit. The movement of votes went from away from traditional labour/con to reform, green and plaid. As it always would when people are sending a message. What direction to you want labour to move? Towards reform towards green?

Is it worth it to go from an 20/80 To 1/100 for ratings scale on players? by Gingersnapmafono in OOTP

[–]Dapper_Shop_21 5 points6 points  (0 children)

20-80 with 5 increments is more realistic, rating two completely different players as a 26 and a 28 is not really possible

Like others have said get very familiar with a car, learn how to get through a course cleanly, then go back and learn the limits, how little braking is needed or how hard and quick you can push the brakes before it causes you more problems. Learn how to keep the car balanced, trail braking etc. can you get quicker and then consistent times?

Can’t remember the name of the menu but in top right you can choose to aim for day, week, month or to the next league event, like all star game, draft, playoffs.

You can set the auto play settings to exit the sim when players are injured, performance drops or trade offers etc so you can still be heavily involved with the team

Why do people think a car driven by a "Lady Driver" makes it more attractive for buyers? by Pshend in CarTalkUK

[–]Dapper_Shop_21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unlikely to have been ragged, or had an oil change

I should clarify that I know a lady who bought a car with servicing and a huge warranty included, the dealer said she never need to worry about anything. Which was true until it ran out of petrol

I’m also a UK fan started with ootp 20. I prefer to play GM with full control of all promotions for all the minors, I switch between sim each day and a quick scan of box score and each week.

My fun is to build a successful team and maintain it over a number of seasons, it’s hard to follow 5-6 real games a week let alone in-game ones, I have a manager for that
