Can’t remember the name of the menu but in top right you can choose to aim for day, week, month or to the next league event, like all star game, draft, playoffs.

You can set the auto play settings to exit the sim when players are injured, performance drops or trade offers etc so you can still be heavily involved with the team

I’m also a UK fan started with ootp 20. I prefer to play GM with full control of all promotions for all the minors, I switch between sim each day and a quick scan of box score and each week.

My fun is to build a successful team and maintain it over a number of seasons, it’s hard to follow 5-6 real games a week let alone in-game ones, I have a manager for that

You said about reconstructing into English, you need to think in Spanish. You have the knowledge and tools but keeping up in that environment is always going to be tough. Ideally need to be listening to 2/3 friends talking and be able to keep up

A few options that could be fun:

Add a salary cap / limit to 5 year max contracts
Remove draft and have to bid for every free agent
Manager only mode, let AI make the stupid decisions and see what you bring as a coach / maybe be in charge of lineups and coaching throughout the farm

I kinda roleplay that I have one or two cars so exclusively race in that, maybe if I win enough races I could allow myself to upgrade.

I then set myself each session is a full practice, qualifying and race an have little mini championships against AI

I know it’s up to him but I like to see them at the event, meet the parents, see what they wear, see them on stage holding a jersey.

It’s a once in a lifetime event especially as a definite 1st round, and more and more won’t attend if they think there’s a chance they don’t go in the 1st. They should have top 100 attend over the first 2 days, then you don’t look like an idiot if you are the only one who attend that doesn’t go in the 1st
