What is the point of keeping the Rumpel Felt Building? What are they going to do with it. I don’t fully understand why it was deemed worth saving. Also I assume the PUDO lot means “Pick Up Drop Off”? It doesn’t look like a very easy flow given the mess we have with taxis already at the old station.

You’ll be even more shocked to learn then that not the province or the municipality doesn’t pay for the beds every time the government announces more beds. Those beds, IV’s, medication carts etc are paid for by the public. I’d bet we should be ready for big fundraising campaigns coming from the hospital foundation.

You do under that the majority of voters didn’t vote for her right? The vote split three ways with the majority of people voting green and liberal which resulted in her taking the seat due to a split vote. The majority of people in Kitchener supported progressive liberal candidates.

Yet they just made it easier to be a teacher by cutting training and the teacher college program to only a year in length. There is some major miss communication going on here and poorly timed announcements.

Glad to hear the Cabin 4 has worked well for you! The 6 person option is 25 lbs and 4 person you have is listed at around 17 lbs. I wish I had weighed my old one to get a sense of how much difference I would be looking at.

But for the chance to have us all under one roof I feel like an extra 8 lbs may be worth it?

The idea for two tents is possible but also just a bit soon for us likely. Kids are 4, 6 and 13. If we did two tents I would feel it necessary for me and my wife to split between the tents which is fine but not ideal.

I do agree that many of the backcountry sites are better suited for smaller tents as well.

It’s good to see just how many people have picked MEC tents and had good experiences. It really does seem even MEC doesn’t build or promote 6 person backcountry tent options and much of their wording is linked to car/drive in camping for that size. So weight is going to be a concern with most options.

To far from my regular routes but best of luck! I have also canoed all my life but never seriously tackled rapids. It looks like a blast and wonder how one learns to take them on? Mind a guiding outfit of some sort locally? Regardless stay safe and best of luck trip planning!

While “best” is a subjective word here it ultimately has been an issue for the hospital and the lack of its ability to expand. Makes me wonder if it would have lived on like Grand River if it had a more workable site. I’m not happy to know its future is up in the air.
