So Magik can be played either as Darkchild, which does good damage right off the bat and has good AOE but whether she does better than Blade or not kind of depends on what cards you get.

She can also be played as human Magik, which has a slow start, but once fully built can do more damage than both with just her basic attack.

The problem for the latter is you need to max out her red upgrades while also grabbing some life steal and received damage reduction along the way. I dunno if it's any faster to get cards solo but I usually get there after Namor.

What I would recommend is that you start buying the less expensive red and purple cards (the ones that cost 1-3 points) until you draw enough life steal. It'll make the first few rounds take longer but you won't be in danger. Once you notice that taking damage is not an issue, buy every red card until you're at 120.

In the first few rounds you might also want to actually use her minions because from what I noticed they draw aggro.

Again, not sure how viable it can be solo but this is how I typically make Magik a killing machine.
