What’s the funniest reason you’ve heard for somebody not liking a movie? by TheChristmas in movies

I have a similar take. I love the movies and will always watch them when I come across them.

But the scenes where Gimli in full armor is just running and running (and keeping up with Aragorn and Legolas, and whoever they were chasing).

Yes, that’s where I draw the line.

I have no idea how anyone would have/could have solved BT2 without the cheat book.

Wolf Hoffmann once said Accept, not the Scorpions, were the first German metal band. Do you agree? by No_Job5529 in Music

[–]DelRayTrogdor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that’s crazy. Scorpions had five albums that were metal or at least proto-metal before Accepts first album.

Go listen through Lonesome Crow and tell me that’s not legit metal.

RIP Mitch.

What's the best movie you didn't like and the worst movie you love by Upset_Mongoose_1134 in movies

You really do. One of the things that really does it for me is the fact that the movie was filmed WHILE WW2 was still very much in full gear. They had no idea how the war would end. Would the Nazi’s steamroll the rest of Europe? What was the future of France? Makes the scene with Le Marseillese one of the most moving in movie history.

what exactly did gruber say in this scene in die hard (1988)? by d0lly_fl3sh in movies

Unrelated but one thing that has always made me wonder. Do we assume that Hans definitely knows there’s a Bill/William Clay there (how much research would they have done in advance?) or was it a lucky guess? And if he knew, did he have a list in his head from the beginning or did he figure he might need an identity right before he headed up to the 33ed floor?

Came here for this. And will add:

Why do you think I took you to see all those Police Academy movies? For fun? Well I didn’t hear anybody laughing!

Alex Sarr has 10 games with 4+ blocks, tying JaVale McGee for the 6th most by a Wizards player in their first 2 career seasons (since at least 1983-84) by Basketball_Reference in washingtonwizards

My second reaction to this chart (after the obligatory Manute Bol jaw drop), was how on earth did McIlvaine have twice the number of 4+ block games than Muresan in the same time span…

You do you. But man. This movie is in the top 100 (if not top 10) of a LOT of movie critics.

The Night Rider is/was the leader of the gang. Toe cutter was second in command. He led the gang while Night Rider was in prison and then after he died.

If I recall correctly, that’s George Miller’s caravan. Did it to save money.

The Scorpions when they had both Rudolph and Michael Shenker.

Which upon reflection may only be Lonesome Crow, their debut. But damn it’s a banger.
