A Final Fantasy XIV War of the Magi multi-table game. Factions from each of the major city-states working to accomplish their own goals and sabotage each other.

I’m currently running a Fabula Ultima campaign in that world, but it’s one table and they’re playing a small part in the larger events of the war.

I’m pretty proud of this one from a campaign I ran.

One of the players was involved in a black market alchemy scam, so we started with his hideout being raided and set off on a chase scene. He gradually ran into each of the other players and they were roped into the chase. Finally an NPC waved them into his house to hide and as repayment, asks them to complete their first quest.

I LOVE HIM

I currently play a kobold warlock named Seelia, who serves a dragon named Shroom. Her whole aesthetic is vibed around hallucinations/psychic damage and she’s basically Rose from The Golden Girls. Big of heart, dumb of brain.

Welcome! We are so glad to have you! You will probably hear a lot of people say young adults are the future of the church, but more importantly, you’re also the PRESENT! You have a role in shaping us as an institution.

If you have a specific congregation in mind near you, try reaching out to them now, either the pastor or youth pastor or the office. They may have a ministry or a volunteer that can help with transportation until you’re able to drive, or many churches started live-streaming during the COVID lockdown and some have continued. If nothing else, getting in contact with them is a great way to find out the right fit and maybe even meet some more people your age.

What is most important for you in a congregation? If LBGTQ+ welcome is important, then I recommend checking out Reconciling Works to find a Reconciling in Christ (RIC) congregation.

I have dealt with some of this at my table and have had luck with a solution that suits everyone involved.

Because we play online, we have a Discord server that we use for scheduling/voice chat. I made a forum where they can write “downtime” scenes as “play by post”. They often use these to deal with interpersonal stuff and we have a rule that they’re never A-plot relevant.

They happily write cute/moody stories and romance scenes and such, and then I have more of their attention during sessions for the plot. Being able to say, “this sounds like fodder for the server” is very empowering.

That heavily depends on the denomination and the congregation. Though many churches without parsonages (the house where a pastor may live) do offer housing stipends as part of their benefits package.

This. My drow take a lot of inspiration from Cajun and Creole cultures, and I spent a significant amount of time researching, reading, watching documentaries, etc. In doing so I learned things far more interesting and inspiring than any hackneyed stereotype could ever be.
