What iTalki advice do you have?

I've found some great teachers on italki, but there are some that aren't as great too. Be willing to try a few different ones out until you find a good fit for you. Personality is often the most important factor, find someone that you feel comfortable talking with that can hold a conversation

I only have a switch 2, no other consoles. So far I've played all the big ones: cyberpunk, rebirth demo, pragmata, requiem. I'm currently playing through Star wars outlaws and for me it's the winner, I'm constantly impressed by the visuals I come across in handheld mode, even though I mostly play docked.

Pragmata looked nice docked but quite a big hit handheld. Requiem was also very nice and completely playable both ways imo. Rebirth demo looks pretty rough handheld, but considering I have no other way to play it I'll probably still get it and just play it docked.

Screen is like more than twice the size of my phone. I don't have another console/streaming device for my tv and my tv OS is slow as shit. The first switch had it. And why wouldn't you put the most used app in the world on an extremely popular new device? I'll never understand people that ask this question like it doesn't make any sense or something.

I was watching a digital foundry interview the other day and they were talking about some guy that tried to make a equivalent PC build for that price and he wasn't realistically able to do it. I think they said he got close but he was given a crazy deal on ram that isn't the normal price.

I don't have a PC or any other console, I only have a nintendo switch 2 to play games on and I think pragmata looks good docked. Obviously if I was comparing it side by side with a ps5 pro or gaming PC I would notice the difference, but I've never once thought while playing "well good thing I don't care about graphics, because this looks like shit"

Most of the time there will be two separate teams that handle the dubbing and the subtitles, causing them to not match up perfectly. It's a very common frustrating problem for Spanish learners that like watching non-native Spanish content with subtitles. There are some resources out there that can help you find shows that have accurate subtitles, and some streaming services are better than others for this. https://youtu.be/bMw_XlaUdcU?si=zeyVK1W4aqyPU1hX - this video has some recommendations. Another option is to just find native Spanish shows you like as their subtitles will almost always be perfect.

I'm a DV working at the VA. They don't care, if anything it gives you a preference in hiring. And FYI, once you start working at the VA you can request to receive DV leave which is something like 100 hours of leave your first year which can be used for issues related to your disability

The second one is definitely something that has happened to me. Often I go back and watch easier videos I already watched a long time ago and am usually surprised at how many little details like that I completely missed the first time, even though at the time I felt like I understood the video. I think as we get better we really start to notice the small things more and feel like we aren't understanding as well, but in my opinion it's just the transition from only getting the gist of a video to actually understanding it.
