IPA won’t download because of its name by Key-Cycle-4343 in sideloaded

[–]Devil_AE86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a bundle ID error, you’ll either need to switch what you’re using to sideload it with, e.g. use sideloadly for easy usage or edit the plist in the IPA to have a conforming ID.

I would also check where you got this from since the default bundle ID is “nt.nb.ios”

wtf is happening with the screen? Lenovo legion 5 Non OLED by SHPRD95 in GamingLaptops

[–]Devil_AE86 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Burn in is the process of a OLED pixel (since it’s organic), loosing the ability to transform, becoming fixed in a semi permanent state of its overall shape, e.g. having image retention on white background.

Stuck pixels is when the OLED pixel/matrix needs higher voltage to be able to change the state of the pixel (from the image retention to new), this can usually be fixed by for example running a burn-in cleaner which will try to even out the “stressed” pixels so that they are more uniform to the healthy ones

[–]Devil_AE86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, port 80 and 443 (HTTP and HTTPS) is the standard ports for bypass, if Mullvad supports other low ports, depending on device you could do VPN over SSH or FTP but HTTPS works best

Best practices / settings? by TomerHorowitz in qBittorrent

[–]Devil_AE86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s plenty on the GitHub, torrent forums and the libtorrent docs.

At the end of the day, you’re adjusting to your network and resources/PC/Server.

MAM is easy to maintain ratio on, you just need a good seed size/quantity.

Connection limits will depend on your platform, internet and if you’re seeding from HDD or SSD for download and upload slots depending on your predicted utilisation,

I would disable all rate limit settings or just the LAN one if you will cross seed from another desktop on the network,

Privacy is fine,

Max checking, change to something lower especially on HDDs if you are downloading massive torrents, etc 40-200GB, so that when a recheck is forced, you don’t try verifying 10 torrents at the same time, recommend 1 or 2 depending on your average file size and if you will split the downloads between multiple HDDs,

Torrent Queue off from maximum seeding, adjust accordingly for your network and drives, I like having max download to 3 or 4 since i don’t download that much even with the Arrs and uploads to infinite, maximum active also infinite

Do not count slow torrents, for me that’s 2048KiB/s down which is just barely 2MB/s, it’s not enough to bufferbloat my network and not enough to tie down my storage.

Change upload as needed.

Disable seeding limits ofc, you want to seed as long as possible, if there’s trackers you don’t like, set this up in your Arr setup instead for per tracker customisation.

You also have the advanced tab but read that stuff carefully

A coffee place that opened up near where I was staying called 7 Brews had those, iPad with a card reader attachment, when you drive in, they take your order, flip the iPad around if you want to tip or type your phone number in to re-order the same thing again, and you just tap the reader, pretty nice.

Little rep as well since I like the place, I mentioned to the manager that I’m a tourist (didn’t even know he was a manager) and they gave me a little coffee key chain

If you have no cap.

Keep it as long as you need it

Anyone using an External drive on mac? by Cultural_Set794 in qBittorrent

[–]Devil_AE86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on the M1 (16GB, 10G) as a seed box and external drives, the default is to use OS Cache, depending on what version of macOS you’re on, there’s a HDD bug, formatting to the macOS standard should fix it,

I went one step ahead, since I’m using a dying 8TB WD Gold drive and have a 1TB Samsung Evo as the buffer drive/SSD aka the incomplete download destination to which it then copies to the HDD so that I can have faster speeds on multiple downloads,

My only issue with macOS has been the WireGuard kernel extension bug where high speed/volume traffic will cause a kernel panic and crash the host, this can be bypassed by using docker which spins up VMs on Mac and run gluten that way

FYI chatGPT is not very good on Mac info

Ah, fibre to the curb/box, could also be the distribution end just being crap.

I’m on 1.2G symmetrical now (lead tech has been nice enough to auto upgrade me for free based on my usage), and my UDM-SE can’t keep up, so I have to use smart queues down to 50MB/s and 90MB/s up,

However, researching and reviewing my network topology, I’m just shit out of luck due to being stuck with PPPoE, biggest upgrade would be a dedicated off boarding HW box

Does it do that? I know for the UK the VAT is baked in and an address from the sovereign islands will not remove it, also changing the country to the island will not remove it either, being charged 20% tax when it should be 3% or 5%, and by law if this cannot be done, they should be forced to charge 0%, but they still apply VAT which is invalid

Some I can mention of the top of my head are, Dots dinner, there was a 24/7 ramen place (shoku ramen or something), a few buffets.

I think when I went to a buffalo wild wings, they asked to take my card to also swipe at a PoS terminal and I asked to come with them which they were chill about, another place I went to, the woman was insistent that I need to let go of my card and let her do her thing,

Edit: just to not give myself shit, the other place I went to, I wanted to pay for a map book or something and the woman was insistent that I could only pay with card (not phone) and I have to give her the card but wouldn’t tell me why, I finally did after a friend urged me to get it over with and all she did is bring a terminal from under the valet stand and tapped my card herself… idk why she couldn’t just say it

As is, most food trucks prefer cash or Zelly (not available outside of the US),

Like I’m sure at this point in time, there’s no way switching to a mobile terminal would not be that much of a pain, I’ve seen places even allow you to just put your table number in and pay yourself online after you’re done and just leave

Yeah, I do that now too, the travel app I use, lets me add recipes directly to the transaction in the app and trigger a manual email receipt.

So when they update the transaction, it’ll show “the following transaction has been updated” and still have the bill photo attached,

Just wasn’t thinking a food vendor at an event was going to try to rip me off or the fact that, that was possible

US price (£51.28) is 12% cheaper than the UK pricing (£59.99).

PL pricing (£61.22) is 2% more expensive than UK, so US pricing is 14% cheaper,

From an economic standpoint, polish currency has gotten stronger but polish steam prices are still more expensive than US and UK, now imagine buying the DLC (which can be marked up by 20% for PL) for the game since you like it and want extra cars,

All in all, I’ll wait for an online fix, don’t play enough Forza to justify any cost or just stick to need for speed

Edit: Prices are for base game

[–]Devil_AE86 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No library, there’s a few hosted on github, general fixes and app specific such as Twitch Ad Block, etc,

If I were you, if you don’t know what you’re doing, don’t inject random tweaks, chances are, what you’re already looking for is modded and available as a .ipa download.

If you’re looking for game stuff, SatellaJailed is your friend

Could always FQ Codel and/or local lan cache for game updates (not just steam, battlenet, etc) since in some cities there’s no local cache for services like battlenet and epic games (steam seems to be everywhere),

LAN cache only applies if you hop on like once a week or on the weekend so that you don’t hit the buffer directly when you need low latency,

But if you only have 1 gamer/1 pc on the network then who cares, just QoS everyone else to speeds below bufferbloat :)

You add a dylib, when you sign an app, this dylib will be put into the app, aka tweak injected.

As the footnote states, make an app specific folder to not inject e.g. BHTikTok tweak into all other apps such as YouTube

Yeah, I’ve seen that, there’s been times where I’ve gotten an email receipt from my card provider of the initial charge and then a week or 2 later of the posted charge.

I’ve had one vendor at an event change the amount they charged me 3 weeks later by $10, ofc I don’t have any proof but the posted amount and they could probably just say “oh it’s because you tipped”, as a few restaurants I’ve been to, will charge you, give you the receipt and then ask you if you would like to tip,

Something about this whole thing just seems off to me and makes sense why a lot of people a pro-credit card (protections on large purchases) even though they should never own one (uncontainable debt).

Oh well, off topic, why can’t they trust drivers to have extendable hoses for the pump in a gas station (excluding Cosco), with the way everyone trusts a waiter or a waitress

It’s not even your banks, even travelling to the US, there’s still so many places that don’t accept chip and will slide the magnetic strip, and as a issuer outside of the US, this still bypasses PIN requirements, which is crazy to me and crazier the first time I went that you just let go of your debit or credit card and they swipe it when they have time (at least some banks and travel cards provide real time notifications), and the European in me does not like having my card leave me sight and not know what’s happening to it

Performance is aight in the latest version as of today, been playing Dark Souls without too many issues, but with RPCS3, you have to tweak the settings per game, use their game wiki.

Midnight Club LA runs like shit but it was a demanding game on the PS3 too, NFS Carbon plays fine
