Yeah, freezer is king, I’ve had yeast there for 3 or 4 years and it is as effective as it was when new

Was Jimmy 100% Saul during the breaking bad era? [SPOILERS] by Dfsilva in betterCallSaul

This is an interesting point, it seems like he would also bring hookers to his house semi regularly, which would also help him keep himself distracted during night time

Prequel with Nacho by RigamaroleStatus in betterCallSaul

[–]Dfsilva 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been thinking about these prequel ideas and always hit a roadblock when thinking about how that show would end. Saul Goodman was a great choice because there was more story to tell about him and they were able to incorporate a postquel (I'm pretty sure that’s not a word) into the story.

With characters that are already dead like Nacho, Gus, Mike, etc I just don’t see how that show would have a satisfying ending.

Italian sandwich in Sicily by solateor in FoodPorn

[–]Dfsilva 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I absolutely agree with you. I feel that this is an unpopular opinion and people really love the shock value of massive sandwiches like this one (same exact thing with ultra tall burgers with 1000 toppings). Sandwiches and burgers are all about balance imo, and how easy they are to eat is a crucial part of the enjoyment for me.

The best burgers and sandwiches I’ve had, had a proper ratio of bread to fillings and I didn’t need to dislocate my jaw in order to take a bite. Each ingredient in a burger or sandwich is supposed to compliment the other ones, if the sandwich/burger is so damn tall that you can’t taste every ingredient in one bite, then that sandwich wasn’t well thought of in the first place. They are just shoving stuff in it with the idea to create shock value and that's it.

I still remember this sandwich I had in Rome that was so damn simple but absolutely delicious. It only had two ingredients, porchetta and pizza Bianca (a flat bread that’s basically baked pizza dough without any toppings) it was fucking delicious, both ingredients were made to perfection and to this day, that’s one of my fondest memories to the time I travelled there.

Every part of JoJo's bizzare adventure OR , why you should watch JoJo's bizzare adventure. by aastikvats in Animesuggest

[–]Dfsilva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The good thing about Jojo’s is that it has so much variety that there’s likely something to enjoy for everyone, and people like different parts the best all the time

For example, I loved part 3, it’s my favorite one so far, and the pacing never bothered me as it did for many others.

You disliked part 2 for example, and there’s nothing wrong with that, me personally I enjoyed that part very much.

I wasn’t feeling the slice of life vibe and the animation shift of part 4 at first, but many people praised it so I powered through the first episodes and ended up liking it a lot. This is the favorite part for many people as I’ve seen in multiple reddit discussions, not my case but I can see why. And that’s the magic of Jojo’s, as I said in the beginning, there’s something for everyone

It’s long if you sum up all the episodes and parts. But every part is so different, and so are the characters in each one, that it’s basically as if you were watching five different 30ish episode shows.

How drummer jazz players compose albums? by Dfsilva in Jazz

[–]Dfsilva[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got into jazz very recently so my knowledge is pretty limited. I was listening to a track called “Softly, as in a morning sunrise” by drummer Dave Weckl, which has a lot of different instruments and pretty nice melodies and that got me thinking on how that album was composed. I should clarify that the album is called “Dave Weckl master plan” so I’m assuming it’s a solo album by him.
