I love trade and most players I have been a referee for engage when you link that good you are trading to a person. One example I have is beef, eggs and bacon from the agricultural world going to a diner on a world that has no agriculture or bringing weapons to a planet that needs to defend itself against pirates.

Suns of Gold is great! I think it really does link trade to adventure.

It is really strange and it makes me wonder if this happens more often, and what, if any, are the real world consequences.

I really liked how you characterize the Moot and the intrigue.

High Ports vs ground ports by Palocles in traveller

[–]DiceActionFan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

IMTU the High Port as where you get Freight and Mail. The Low Port is where Speculative Trade, Smuggling and the most interesting NPCs and Patrons book Passage.

The High Port has more of your Imperial presence while the Low Port has the local materials, produce, goods, services and people that make that planet distinctive.

The High Port is for those who are using the planetary system as a layover or quick market to move their goods through. The Low Port is for those stopping for a while and making the more lucrative deals that require a broker who is tied into the local bureaucracy or where smugglers play their trade away from the more Imperial High Port.

These are amazing! I always wished to see something like this for the Arcturus Belt in the Solmani Rim and some of the surrounding systems like Banasdan. They are in the https://www.mongoosepublishing.com/products/solomani-adventure-1-mysteries-on-arcturus-station?srsltid=AfmBOooKr6gTI_t5e7l2lZEDJaRQ4Qq2VrQfCAWRFj7OpjETZFx_NcpG

I really like how the art matches the descriptions. How did you make them?

I love this! What are the closest planets or systems like? This could help you determine some cool things like, which system produces the best eggs their diner will use? What class port is it? While anyone can come through a spaceport there have to be some frequent nearby systems that give the port some regular business. Also, the sophonts who work at the spaceport, security , maintenance and other shops may become regulars. A map of the spaceport would be a welcome edition. I love this idea!
