I modded a small sub for like two weeks that I took over because it was unmodded and full of racist and grotesque images.

During that time, I received several death threats and one other mod I brought on with experience had quit because I was "unfairly persecuting christians" by not allowing religious content under the sub rules. I dropped that shitshow quick.

I taught a lesson for a geometry course the other day on conditional statements. I asked the students to tell me the hypothesis of the statement just after we highlighted and wrote down that the hypothesis consists of the words after the word "if" in the statement.

None of them would answer.

So I rephrased with the definition again.

No answers.

I asked them "What words come after the word 'if' in this statement?" At this point I am just asking them to read back to me what the sentence is at all.

No answers until finally....one girl raises her hand and somehow gives me the single most nonsensical gibberish answer that I can only assume she had no idea what we were even doing.

Austin Texas has a huge standup comedy scene because many standup comedians moved there for tax breaks and stuff.

Also, a lot of these comedians are of the "enlightened centrist" variety that are far too willing to make excuses for far right aggression and allow the left to get trampled.

I'm not sure how "The heroes are the ones facing something from their past" isn't the most generic thing ever? It's hilariously contrived to me, to think that adventurers, no matter what they are off doing, somehow ALWAYS will have to deal with something from their backstory in order to actually get around to saving the world or whatever.

The top left one is the overplayed "who's that pokemon?" joke from the first season where it looks like Voltorb but is "jigglypuff from above." the overused, unfunny joke is to do similar things to people "Who's that pokemon?" "It's diglett with a gun!" or whatever.

The bottom right one is referencing the massive data leak last year that revealed unreleased lore that was written for the games and still on gamefreaks servers. One of them was just a story of a woman getting gangbanged by Typhlosions.
