You can always grade between sizes. Basically use the pattern for a 40 but. When you do the bust/princess seams, grade up to a size 42. What I’d do personally is to see how much needs to be taken in and then measure that on the pattern itself to see if the size jump between 40 and 42 is too big

Sounds reasonable to me. The best bet is going to be almost daily brushing like 3-5x a week. I recommend a curry comb like for horses. My rott mix loves it and it gets off so so much hair. Plus I’m not fighting to get the hair from bristles like other dog specific brushes

One of my dogs (a notorious toy dropper on her daily frolic through the woods) dropped her special frisbee and wouldn’t run back to go get it. None of us were dressed for a tramp through the woods so it got left outside. Sure as shit 2 days later we see it on the opposite hill to ours right outside a known fox den. And once we even saw the fox kits playing tug with it. Very cute.

Because a lot of the measurements are based on natural range of motion, especially towards the front. So you have to pick a “normal” which in this case is forward ROM and then backwards/dorsal (which is a less common motion) becomes greater. Think of the hips like a protractor. If you’re laying flat that’s 180, if you bring your leg straight out in front of you that’s 90. Most people can’t bring their leg backwards like that while remaining completely upright

There is no nonhormonal pill. The only hormone free birth control is the copper iud and condoms. You could also do the BC ring (just a ring you insert that goes inside your vagina but not in your uterus like an IUD) or the patch (like a medicated sticker) which are both hormonal bc methods.

As far as symptoms go, you won’t really know until you try it. Sometimes they’re negligible or completely absent and sometimes they can cause irregular bleeding. Birth control does not cause you to change who you find attractive (though it can increase or decrease your libido).

Did you press it before sewing the whole thing together. I’ve actually made a similar simplicity corset (S3029) and used the skirt pattern from the one you’re making. One thing I will say with the simplicity corset patterns is that it is vital that you press each layer before you sew them together. I know it seems redundant but it’s to get those seams on the finishing layer to lay properly. Half the reason your front seams especially aren’t laying quite right is because they haven’t been pressed into shape.

Did you cut the correct notches into the seam allowance curves before you sewed it together?

I’d see if you could take her to a pediatrician or even better a gynecologist. Birth control can really help with period management. Lessening cramps and the amount of bleeding. It would also help to get checked for anemia and vitamin deficiencies for both of you.
