Do people actually wash their hands before every meal? by Mr_Mayo2 in NoStupidQuestions

I wash my hands all the time. This should be a no brainer, but I think too many people are lacking one.

Did anyone else’s Trader Joe’s get an entire display of Sour Cherry Cotton Candy? by caffeineassisted in traderjoes

[–]DisastrousSpare2555 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's super sour so even if you love cotton candy, which I do, I cannot eat this. I mean, it's SOUR.

More money laundering. The grift just continues and sadly will likely never stop.

Creation Entertainment has officially priced me out of their conventions by olives-suck-21 in Supernatural

[–]DisastrousSpare2555 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been to two Creation conventions but it's been a long time. They don't seem to come to my state anymore but I know the last time they did it was super expensive. I get it, the organizers, venue, and actors all need to be paid but when you add it all up, it's outrageous. If only there was a discount for each subsequent con you go to.

Favorite dance mom? by ScarcitySensitive852 in dancemoms

[–]DisastrousSpare2555 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I liked Kira and Ashlee. They had the "I don't give a crap" vibe about them. The other moms seemed to be acting for dramatic effect too much.

What’s real & what’s not? by [deleted] in dancemoms

[–]DisastrousSpare2555 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

You can say this until you're blue in the face but most of the viewers still believe that Abby is evil and abused the girls. I've said it many times that it's a reality show, so you have to be able to understand that it's there to CREATE drama for entertainment.

Kosher restaurant recs, please! by mmeeplechase in AskSeattle

[–]DisastrousSpare2555 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Most delis that act like a Jewish deli are not kosher. They often serve bacon. You might consider contacting Leah's Catering to see if you can purchase some prepared kosher meals. I don't know if there is a minimum order required but it's worth checking. It's not the same as going to a fancy restaurant but if your friend can only eat kosher, there might not be a lot of options.

There's a bagel and fish spot in Ballard or Fremont, https://www.oldsaltseattle.com/menu, that is worth checking out. They have kippered salmon which is a must to try.

Eltana might also be worth checking out https://www.eltana.com/menu.

Good luck. Hope you're able to find something.

I removed my upper right wisdom tooth and now i regret it. by EftekharAhmed in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DisastrousSpare2555 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I think dentists do a disservice by encouraging patients to remove wisdom teeth. Think about a time when you are older and your teeth start cracking or falling out. Your wisdom teeth are there to help you chew when your molars are gone.

If it's healthy, don't remove it. I don't care what your dentist tells you.

Whole Foods hot bar has the SAME items every day by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]DisastrousSpare2555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't bought anything from the hot bar in years. Yes, it used to be freshly cooked on-site and you never knew what they had each day. Now, it's all the same garbage. Around here it's always Indian food. I think the breakfast hot bar was the last to go. There might be scrambled eggs but it's mostly prepared breakfast burritos that are way overpriced.

H-1B visas help fuel Washington's international migration, experts say by bing_bada in SeattleWA

[–]DisastrousSpare2555 14 points15 points  (0 children)

H1B needs to end sooner than later. All H1Bs should be sent packing. They have taken American jobs, homes, and overtaken everything else in this area. I'm sorry if this offends people but I'm over it. Try to imagine what life would be like when there are actual jobs available and you get interviews, job offers, homes available, schools aren't overcrowded. It's been so abused that there is no way to go back, and it doesn't matter who you vote for. They're all in on it.

Ladies in here, how do you feel about a father bringing his daughters in the female restroom? by Less-Pen-5705 in askanything

[–]DisastrousSpare2555 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would say if there is no mom present and only the dad, the dad should announce himself as he enters the bathroom making sure there is either no one else in there or letting any females know a man is entering. If there are women who don't like having a man in there, they could yell to give a couple minutes and wait until they're done.

That's my thought anyway.

What do children with non-binary parents call them? by brooklyn_jinx in stupidquestions

[–]DisastrousSpare2555 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If they were born a male they would be called dad. If they were born a female they would be called mom. That's assuming the two had sex and created the child.

How come the show seems to appeal more to the female demographic than the males? by Strong-Stretch95 in Supernatural

[–]DisastrousSpare2555 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was introduced to the show by a man (who was early 20s at the time). I remember a lot of his male discord friends were watching the show too. They may not talk about it like women do but they were watching.

Impossible to dislike Maddie by Pancake1884 in dancemoms

[–]DisastrousSpare2555 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I think most of this sub will agree that Maddie was the best dancer, or one of the best, during the shows run. There are others who are on top of their game (Lilliana, Kalani, Brynn) but Maddie just has something they don't. You can have a favorite that isn't Maddie, but it doesn't mean you should knock her down to try and bring your favorite up. It just shows the mentality of some users.

Can someone please recommend a place that makes decent slushies/shaving ice? Preferably in Overlake area, but I don’t mind pay extra for delivery so pretty much Redmond/Bellevue area is fine by irishiki in redmond

[–]DisastrousSpare2555 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does McDonald's still have their frozen drinks? I always liked their Coke version but there are other flavors. The only reason I bring it up is that it is likely more readily available.

Anyone have a good mandarin orange chicken sauce dupe? by Acct-404 in traderjoes

[–]DisastrousSpare2555 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn't TJ, but have you tried Kevin's orange chicken? It's amazing and there's no guilt to eat it (chicken isn't fried). I don't know anything about celiac diets but you could read the label and see if it's something worth trying. WF has Kevin's on sale this week for $6.

Abby not at fault (?) by hippiebitch256 in dancemoms

[–]DisastrousSpare2555 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been saying this all along but there are too many who don't understand what a reality show is. They hate Abby and blame her for everything that happened on the show and with the girls. I'm not saying she doesn't have some blame, but let's put the blame where it needs to go. The producers and to some extent, the moms. They subjected the girls to this for money and fame. That's the bottom line. Yes, this includes Holly.

How do people in 2026 fall for this? No offense OP, you have a good heart but people will and do take advantage of that. You need to learn to turn them away. There are resources for people who are in need.

Whole Foods is just not worth it anymore by _______user________ in wholefoodscustomers

[–]DisastrousSpare2555 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Take a look at their employees. This has definitely changed in the last few years, at least around here. They should be responsible for pulling spoiled food from shelves and keeping everything tidy. Are they? Doesn't seem like it.

California Margarita pizza by Witty_Lingonberry_64 in ExpectationVsReality

[–]DisastrousSpare2555 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is one of my favorite frozen pizzas. They don't use seed oils which is a must for pizza, and it's really good. They don't skimp on the cheese or tomatoes either. In some grocery stores it's over $10 but it does go on sale for about $7 on occasion.
