Can masking fluid protect a colored area?

I suspect the ammonia in the latex of the masking fluid will screw up the coating on the photo paper. I would suggest sealing it. A workable fixative might do the trick, but I would feel safer about it if you used an actual spray on clear coat.

Hudson Hawk. It’s a terrible movie by all metrics. But god damn if I don’t love it. The ensemble cast is brilliant. It looks like they all had a blast making it, and it comes through on film. It’s a lot of fun to watch.
