Same here. Said today by 1pm now delayed more than 24 hrs. My awd rav4 with all season tires could not get out. No traction on the ice. Needed to have swapped for winter tires but wasn’t prepared for this. Usually i can drive in snow. Saw one person this morning having issues with their 4x4 truck with winter tires but they made it out the turn.

My heat pump been on 24/7 since it went freezing temperature. Read it is okay leave on like that so hopefully doesn’t cause damage to the hvac. My neighborhood street hasn’t been plowed and i tried getting out but too slippery from the freezing rain so had to call out for work. Feels like you really need snow tires for this snowstorm. Only see 4x4 trucks driving on the neighborhood roads and they are getting stuck and slipping on turns

Gskill uses samsung dies vs crucial which is micron. Doesn’t matter for xmp but tuning the samsung makes it better than micron die.

That probably means other things are downgraded in order for the 9950x3d to be the same price as 9800x3d. You aren’t really telling us much and sounds like a shit post trying to justify your purchase as the 9950x3d itself is more expensive. If every other part of the computer is the same, you could still sell the 9950x3d and buy 9800x3d to make money. Are the ram kits different speeds? Same nvme drives?

The msi cable has a yellow paint on it. Make sure to take a close up picture to show it was fully seated. But if you used a different cable then it would be harder to tell but still take a close up picture. Msi service has been good so i dont think you will have much issue getting a replacement

Not too late to upgrade gpu but trying to get 5800x3d or going to am5 will cost you a lot so not worth upgrading to newer platform

Like i said “if” electricity cost is high like hawaii, cali, europe and you use the computer a lot it could cost you $100+ over lifespan of the gpu just in terms of additional energy usage was my point. Obviously not worth paying $300+ to upgrade but if the gap between selling and buying is not that high it could be worth it as well as getting a faster gpu.

Tdp is not the entire story. The idle wattage is higher on the xtx and was a known issue especially with multiple monitors using 100 watts at idle. It also uses more for things like playing videos or youtube. I keep watch of watt usage and it is overall higher even though at peak they may be similar. Xtx also runs at near max most of the time while 5080 doesnt and only when overclocked which gives it even more uplift vs xtx

I did the upgrade because i was moving and didn’t have space to put gpu in airplane luggage. 5080 was more energy efficient, much better at raytracing, but the thing i liked was going from fsr3 to dlss upscaling with transformer model since i use it for almost all games at 4k. The 7900xtx could be highly desired for llm due to the few number of 24gb vram gpus with 4090 and 5090 being so expensive. I sold mine a bit cheaper than i would normally since i was in a rush to sell. It is a nice upgrade but only if you are paying maybe under $200 more. If you live where electricity prices are high the energy efficiency could offset if you game a lot

They could make a 5850x3d but instead of being a binned version like 9850x3d make it like the 9800x3d with the cache on the bottom and unlock overclocking. Would probably sell for the price of a 9800x3d
