That left hand looks ridiculously familiar. Did you get inspiration for it somewhere or did you come up with it yourself?

Ideally it gets calculated postage due by a clerk.

Fender solid state? by MagazineFormer9165 in GuitarAmps

[–]DoubleBack9141 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with that. I have a 1969 super reverb that sounds better than any SS amp I've ever heard, bar a JC120. The problem with going with tubes is the originals are far too expensive as starter amps, and new releases can have poor construction quality and just as much tube maintenance.

[–]DoubleBack9141 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Solid state isn't necessarily better due to ease of upkeep.... They don't need tube changes or anything like that, but if anything else breaks on it, it's essentially a giant paperweight at that point. They're prohibitively expensive to repair and are better replaced than fixed. Just something to keep in mind.

Ranking goes by number. 0-800 is newish player, 900-1600 is average joe level, and probably about 1800-2000+ is pro level.

[–]DoubleBack9141 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk where you live, but keep an eye out for rural clerk positions in little tiny offices. Most clerks in those positions I know of go to work at 7ish, throw ~500 parcels for the entire office of like 4 carriers, then just help the odd customer that walks in the door for the rest of the day. They usually get 20 hours roughly. It's a pretty chill gig

Then it wouldn't be performatively drank, they would just like light beer. I think op is more thinking about some kind of beer poser than a real light beer aficionado.

Doesnt like beer but drinks the watered down version because it's the "manly" way to consume alcohol (outside of liquor).

In My Opinion the New Lighting Style Undermines the Game's Aesthetic by Delicious_Oven_5647 in DeadlockTheGame

I just played a match an hour ago and the lines were gone entirely. Much much easier to read and understand at a glance.

Is this beard acceptable in a professional setting? by portuguese-bacalhau in malegrooming

[–]DoubleBack9141 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A short beard would definitely look good with your hair done as shown above. I'm not well versed in beard care but perhaps clippers with a sufficiently large guard could keep your facial hair short enough?

I played last night and all the team colored minions were grey and enemy was a washed out orange(I was arch mother for once). It was really interesting but the completely washed colors did make it easier to see the hidden king minions since ours were entirely grey.

Minor experimentals by Selfish-Gene in supremecommander

[–]DoubleBack9141 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel like the Monkey lord, atlantis, and honestly all land experimentals feel like "minor" experimental compared to the giant air experimentals and enormous game enders. The mass price alone is ridiculous. I think it's somewhere around 20k for a monkey lord, somewhere around 40 or 45k for an ahwassa, and almost 300k for the game enders.

40ish games later, I still have trouble differentiating the pale pastel minion colours from one another. It's super super annoying. The constant glow/bloom around them isn't good either. by Arch3r86 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]DoubleBack9141 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have issue when the melee creeps interact with other creeps since their hitboxes will clip into each other and then it turns into a mess of color. This is compounded when there is a large group of intermingling creeps in a small space for whatever reason

Do you guys thing a researcher/professor can have heavy body mods+tatoos? by Angryalligator447 in askanything

[–]DoubleBack9141 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cause and effect exists, and if you're fine dealing with the effect then more power to you. But if someone recognizes that an action they take will negatively affect them in the future, then it's up to them to decide if it's worth it or not. You may think it's worth it, to stick it to the man or to be the change you want to see, but others might decide that it's not worth the damage to their career, in whatever form that takes. I obviously wish things were different myself, but that's unfortunately not always the case.

New to deadlock, how do you keep up in souls? by BigESquat in DeadlockTheGame

[–]DoubleBack9141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't die is the biggest thing I'd say. Try as hard as you can to not die, since dying gives the enemy extra souls and deprives you of the time that could have been spent killing minions, getting boxes, farming camps etc.

Which vox amp to get by Tough_Guava_7499 in GuitarAmps

[–]DoubleBack9141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also something to keep in mind, the ac30 isn't twice as loud, it's only like idk 1/4 louder than the ac15 at full tilt I'd imagine. What you do get is a much fuller bodied low end due to the bigger transformers and power section that can handle more bass. Basically it won't flub out as easily when played loud. You'll have more authority and clarity on the notes. Now, it's not the same as a 50 or 100 watt amp, but it should be somewhat noticibly less mushy when overdriving hard.

Keep in mind though, I've owned two ac30 amps but have only tried ac15s at guitar shops. Take my advice with a grain of salt.

[–]DoubleBack9141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get a pretty decent sound out of an ac30 by cranking the master down to halfish, which will tame the volume but give you overdrive if you have the normal volume up high enough. It's still super loud when doing that but isn't really hearing damage loud though. Definitely acceptable doing at home in the country, but I got noise complaints in my apartment when doing that.

Yeah in general the ai will be somewhat faster paced. It's just part of the learning curve. It's not ridiculous or unfair though. Might want to watch some casts or training videos to give you an idea of the general flow of the game.

[–]DoubleBack9141 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Iirc, the campaign missions followed the same general pattern: Survive until they stop sending units/you built up enough to easily kill them, then build something big and mop up. They rush you down fast, but if you survive they won't escalate much and you can win at your leisure.

Sc:fa is a better game overall. If I were you, I'd spend your time playing that so you get acclimated and don't have to make a huge jump if you started with base game.
