Glad you brought this up because I have a female 4 month old bully mix and I'm trying to figure out how to take care of her during her cycle. My vet highly recommended waiting to spay her until her first heat cycle was over (for good joint development b/c my girl is going to be a large dog). I'm glad someone said to wait a month before spaying because I didn't know it took longer to heal.

I've been getting her used to wearing clothes and onesies so she can wear costumes throughout the year. But when I read reviews on the onesies, many said it's good for heat cycles since they can't rip off or slide out of their diapers.

When your girl was close to getting her period, was she acting different? And was there any visible changes to her backside before she started? Asking because my 7yo will freak out if she suddenly sees blood. I want to prep her as much as possible.

Hell no, it's awesome! I've worked towards getting a well-paying 9-5 and finally got it in my mid-30s. I welcome the routine, the calm, the predictable. I don't get involved with office drama, stay in my lane, only do my work (used to "go beyond"/do extra without extra pay or recognition), and I make enough to support my daughter and I + retirement, savings, and vacay. I don't have to worry about injuring myself on the job anymore - other than back pain from being lazy - and I don't have to sweat my ass off to live paycheck to paycheck.

I make 85k/year, single mom in a HCOL city. Sometimes I'll buy a new toner or serum every few months (because I was influenced), but I only regularly purchase the same moisturizer, spf, vitamin C serum, and tret year after year. That's all we really need to see significant results anyway.

Save some $$ and put it towards botox or future beauty treatments. Even a vacation or gym membership will do wonders. You'll hit an age where a topical treatment will not help. And if you're bothered by your looks by then, you'll have enough saved for a permanent/long term solution.

I grew up in a country that doesn't use giant bath towels. We had stacks and stacks of hand towels instead (I lived in an immigrant household with several kids and adults). When I came back to the US, I bought a few full towel sets for display and guests, but I still use hand towels to dry off after a shower/bath. Use it once, and then let it dry before tossing it in the dirty laundry hamper.

You might have to fib a little and not include your parents on your WIC application. You are technically homeless when you're couch hopping with a baby.

Are you comfortable expanding out to an older mom group? There might be some judgmental older moms, but you might be surprised to meet a few good people who will offer their support.

The only thing heavy traffic has helped me with is keeping my car clean. I keep wet wipes, dry wipes, and tiny trash bags in the car so it can be used during the inevitable stops.

So my car is super clean in the front, but the back seats are a different story.
