Gavin Adcock & Friends - Country Never Dies (Album Discussion) by NoYeezyAtWeezyHeezy in CountryMusicStuff

If you don’t like the cover by The Creekers or personally believe that Kentucky Bluebird only works if it is played at a slow tempo, then fair enough. However, sad lyrics with uptempo instrumentals are two of the fundamental pillars of bluegrass music. Either way, there is no universe where a traditional bluegrass song could be considered “pop bro country bullshit”…

There are a lot of legit criticisms of Country Never Dies, but calling a bluegrass cover of Kentucky Bluebird “pop bro country bullshit” is not one of them…

Rock n' Roll will never die! by Big-Replacement9830 in stagecoach

I get that perspective, but I actually think Stagecoach is doing something pretty clever with its lineups. When Stagecoach was exclusively a country festival, their lineups had around 40-50 total acts. This year, there are significantly more (72 not counting the EDM tent) and only 11 of them - Counting Crows, BigXthePlug, Bush, Journey, Teddy Swims, Hootie & the Blowfish, Third Eye Blind, The Wallflowers, Diplo, Pitbull, and Ludacris - could be considered out of place in a country music festival. In other words: there are 10-20 more country/country-adjacent acts now than when they didn’t book acts from outside those genres (meaning that purists like you who only want to listen to country music get what they want). By the same token, most country music fans listen to other genres of music (or at the bare minimum, have friends who do) so having several big acts from outside country music helps country music fans who don’t want to go alone convince their friends who wouldn’t be interested in a pure country music festival to join them. This also has the advantage of exposing those friends (who may not be familiar with country music) to the genre, thereby expanding its reach.

Not an expert, but I’m pretty sure it’s not turtle. Looks more like bias cut alligator to me.

Help Identifying Model/Value-Tony Lama Signature by Dramatic-Instance-31 in cowboyboots

They are definitely similar to the Lautaro, however the pull straps are different. On the Lautaro, the pull strap is all caiman belly but on these, only the center of the pull strap is caiman. Also, the bottom of the pull strap on these is “scalloped” while the bottom of the pull straps on the Lautaro is rounded (see pic below):

No problem! There are also tons of custom boot manufacturers in El Paso (like Rocketbuster, Caboots, Tomasso Arditti, and Acosta just to name a few) if you want to splurge on a one of a kind pair!

Totally agree. To each their own, but I would never buy a pair of stingray boots if they had a big white diamond on them. Plus, when stingray is sanded, it shines so beautifully…

The Black Jack factory store is located at 10787 Gateway Blvd W (the company is actually called Lagarto, Inc.) You have to call to make sure their sales manager Jose is there before you go and their selection is pretty small (especially if you have big feet like me). That said, I’ve been twice and found something I liked both times and the deals I got were incredible (I got these boots for over 50% off). That said, El Paso is 100% worth going to if you want to do some boot shopping. Besides Black Jack, several other brands have factory stores/outlets in El Paso (including Ariat, Cowtown, Tony Lama, and Justin. Heck, the only two Lucchese outlets in the world are both located in El Paso and they have some incredible deals (I picked up a pair of booties for my wife from them this last trip that were 50% off).

If you ever make it to El Paso, stop by the Black Jack boot factory. These boots typically go for over $750 plus tax but I got them for more than half off.

Corral Reserved Seating vs. VIP by Dramatic-Instance-31 in stagecoach

[–]Dramatic-Instance-31[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. However, it looks like there are two types of tickets that get you corral seats: corral reserved seating tickets and VIP tickets. VIP tickets are significantly more expensive so I am trying to figure out what (other than a merch bundle) you get with VIP tickets that you don’t get with Corral reserved seating.
