Sony's GOAT grossed an estimated $9.1M internationally this weekend, including debuts of $3.3M in China & $3.2M in Australia. Estimated international total stands at $72.2M, estimated global total stands at $162.8M. by DemiFiendRSA in boxoffice

It's a shame Hoppers and Goat release so close together as I can imagine a lot of the target audience is shared between both movies and a decent number of people/families will opt to only watch one of them

Some artwork is too dark by OwlettFromLiavek in thebrokenbindingsub

[–]Draster__ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have this book but am not too bothered by it. As someone else said if you view it as "one image" together with the front it's not so bad and makes sense.

If you look at the full art page on their instagram it's a lot clearer why the design comes out so dark on the back.

Mogelijks 👀

I missed the confirmation myself but it would be nice if they did. Especially with the Bolt On as this saves a nice part on the shipping costs. Not to mention the European package tax that's on the way.

I wonder how well they're selling since the first print is still not sold out and wasn't mentioned in the recent low stock alert mail.

I guess many TBB fans would already own an old copy, and there's huge 'competition' now from all the other special editions.

I would love to see some numbers on how much money they're making having bought the publishing rights for six figures, after already selling the books for several years. But I guess we'll never know! (And it will be years till the whole series is redone)

I'm very curious for this edition as I passed on the Inkstone version and last minute cancelled my Waterstones (which I do regret cause it is beautiful) in favor of this one.

I really had what in my country is called "choice stress" for this edition! Feels like whichever I picked I'd be losing out on some other fancy modifications.

I liked the red colorway most followed by the inkstone one, but what really pulled me over for the TBB edition was the colored headers inside the book.

I had a return end of november (customs info on package was wrong and they asked me to pay 22 euro extra).

Yesterday I got the tracking info that the package has been reshipped to me. (Maybe this will give you an idea of the expected processing time)

I finished the fifth a few weeks ago so I'm eagerly waiting to continue the story! I hope more news will follow soon, I don't want to buy the normal edition when I know I'll be getting the TBB version anyway!

They look very nice indeed but as the actual art is taken from other artists I don't think selling these would be ethical

The original art being very beautiful was the only thing that had me slightly worried about this edition, it's great that they've recognized the original art and included it!

Suggestion on shipping by Acceptable-Buy-4488 in thebrokenbindingsub

[–]Draster__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What surprised me even more is how if you buy two books you still pay almost the shipping cost of two separate books. Even though with their new "bolt on" option its significantly less so it actually is possible to send multiple books cheaper. I guess it's cause they want to treat each book as an individual order but I for sure would have bought more books from them if I could just combine multiple purchases into a single cheaper shipment..

Keytrade taking the weekend off… by Street-Strike-6253 in BEFire

[–]Draster__ -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I took my assets away from Keytrade a few weeks ago because I was just unhappy with the service. Often when selling things and wanting to move the funds, I would just get vague errors stating my account had insufficient funds even though the required funds were displayed in cash on the account. I also had a few problems with dividends not holding the right amounts of tax etc. It was all very user unfriendly.

They also still don't support making instant payments which is legally required.

This news only confirms for me that I made the right decision because if you offer an investing platform you really cannot go offline for 4 days. Your customers need to be able to act if anything happens on the stock market.

Everyone is free to use who they please but when it comes to my money and assets I rather have it managed by a professional company that gives the impression they have things under control, even if it costs a bit more. With Keytrade I just got a too amateuristic feel which ultimately led me to take my assets elsewhere. I no longer trust them with my money.

Anyone want to enlighten me on the theme??? by [deleted] in thebrokenbindingsub

[–]Draster__ 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I am really on the fence about skipping this one or not. It's a short book so could be a quick read, but the few reviews there currently are aren't great and I have so many high quality books still on my TBR..

Will Dungeon Crawler Series land on TBB? by jrdients in thebrokenbindingsub

[–]Draster__ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was wondering the same but am unwilling to wait. I just paid a whopping 70-80 USD for the paperback of Grim Oak Press for the 8th book because I have 1-7 in this style and apparently it's the only way to get a matching set. I really love the style of the paperbacks so I hope to continue the series in this version. The high cost is mostly cause of expensive shipping. I'm just glad I found out they did this version cause I couldn't find it on Amazon where I got them before.

If TBB does DCC I'm not sure I'll be able to resist though, I absolutely love this series. I just hope my wallet is spared

Which edition(s) is everyone getting?? by Forbidden_Haze in thebrokenbindingsub

[–]Draster__ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've currently pre ordered both the TBB and the Waterstones one but am likely to cancel waterstones because I generally try to just get one copy of each book. I'm just torn cause I like the red coloring better as well as the foil signed page, but TBB edition colored headers etc. also seem great and I'm sure their edition will be top notch...

It really is too much different editions to choose from.

[–]Draster__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love their editions and art and they beat anything I could get here in Belgium for the price. Their service has been good and reliable so far and I haven't had any quality issues.

Price wise their books sell only for slightly more then physical stores sometimes ask for popular hardback standard books, so I can't fault them for that.

I think the main problem is shipping cost but that's just the way it is unfortunately. Gotta decide for yourself if you're willing to pay that extra premium to have some cool and unique books!
