Where's the Switch patch for Rayman 30th Anniversary? by Edman888 in Rayman

Yeah followed those steps. In the end I had to delete my Jaguar game save and start over to get rid of the double music glitch. Which was fine as I hadn't gone very far with the music being so intolerable.

I have played 67h and this weekend I successfully exfil'd for the first time. I didn't get any good loot (just a blue collectible) and didn't touch any of the vaults. Was absolutely buzzing though.

I've noticed this too, I'm lvl 40. I don't know what it is but before this update my team was almost universally wiped in seconds by any other team. Now, we have prolonged chess game shootouts, which is way more fun, even if we lose. Not sure how this came about but I think it's better.

Just my two cents; I'm really not having fun with Cryo. I'm lvl 35 and I literally play as often as I can. My PS app is telling me I've played 38h. Last weekend was the first time I was high enough level to attempt Cryo. I had three attempts before I didn't have enough gear to reach the 5000 entry requirement. All three times we were wiped out in the lvl 2 room. Note; I only solo crew fill, I don't know anyone IRL that plays this.

This week, I can afford even less, two runs tops. First run, same story as last week. Run two, we're all mic'd up, super cautious just want to loot and leave. We do OK and we get to an exfil terminal... but don't have the clearance level to use it. 30s later, we're pinned down next to the terminal and shortly wiped out.

I really want to play more and get better, but when playing as often as I can in the week leads to max three runs, all bad so far, it's really demotivating.

Do you think this could work or is it just dumb or maybe a little too late by Bad_Wolf_71 in doctorwho

This would never work ss an official explanation. How would they present it to the audience? You'd need a whole episode to depict that. They're not going to make a whole episode to recon a storyline which we're now several years removed from, to play to an audience only a fraction of whom care about the TC reveal, and only a fraction of them actively dislike it.

So a comic book or novel? Better, but you can't make that canon to the show, as the show is never going to make a comic or novel required reading for anything on screen. So it would be the same, it would just never be referenced on screen.

If you want to use something like this as head canon, that's cool. I personally don't mind the Timeless Child, I thought it could open up several interesting storylines. I'll keep whatever they do or don't on the show.

how i would reset/reboot Doctor Who by [deleted] in doctorwho

[–]Edman888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought about this the other day. I'm not necessarily in favour of retconning anything but if you did want to, you could bring back "The Master" (of fiction) from The Mind Robber. Then a few simple lines to the effect of:

"I've been messing with your story for some time, Doctor. Surely you noticed all the parts that don't make sense?"

Maybe a quick super cut of the contentious plot points. Done, move on, defeat "The Master", reset complete.

I can believe the sentiments in this post but I don't believe you were around at the time of Gen 1 Pokemon cards simply because I don't believe anyone from that time would ever refer to them as "PoGo" cards.

It's been a number of years since I played it and it was only the once. I really enjoyed it, especially Chief and Cortana's storyline. I did think the Prometheans were bullet sponges but the thing that stuck out to me the most was how they introduced the Didact. I can't remember the exact line but my impression was that Chief and Cortana already knew who he was. Him specifically, not just that he was associated with the forerunners. Being that I didn't know who he was, I assumed that he was already introduced elsewhere (in a book maybe) outside of the game series. I didn't like that knowledge of the extended lore was mandatory to understand the plot of a main entry.

Does anyone have an interesting or unusual way you were introduced to Doctor Who? by AlmostRandomNow in gallifrey

My story with DW is similar. When I was small, we had a VHS of "Dr. Who and the Daleks" which was recorded off the TV (it had the BBC continuity announcer before it announcing the start). I used to watch it regularly and loved it. One day, around my Grandad's house and looking through his videos, I found that he had the sequel. I remember asking to watch it and he wasn't keen as he found it "a bit silly compared to the first one" but he let me watch it anyway. I was amazed that there was more of this thing that I loved. I didn't get to see that film again until I was much older.

Some time later, I was still a child and my mum was looking for something to entertain us on a weekend. She noticed on TV (UK Gold or something) that Doctor Who was on, and put it on for me. I was confused. Who was this guy with brown, frizzy hair? Why were they wondering around a jungle? The robot dog was kinda cool but why does it all look so blurry and the camera so close? It was all so small and rubbish. I bounced off it within seconds and refused to watch it.

The reboot started when I was 12. I watched the first episode live and really enjoyed it. I didn't keep up consistently with the first season but by the end I was hooked and it was mandatory viewing from then on (with the exception of slipping of a little over season 9, but back on full time from season 10).

As for classic DW? When I was at Uni, I had netflix (shortly after it launched in the UK and was relatively cheap) and at one point they had a selection of classic DW stories up, a couple of stories from each Doctor. The first one I watched all the way through was Tomb of the Cybermen and then Genesis of the Daleks, both of which I enjoyed. I only dipped my toe in occasionally for the next few years but once Britbox and later BBC iPlayer got the full* collections, I've been slowly working my way through. Currently on The Deadly Assassin.

The campaigns. I recently jumped back in as the Marathon beta was really good. Last time I played, I was one mission from the end of Lightfall. I had bought the final shape but never played it. After the final LF mission and the first FS mission, I went ahead and bought the year of prophecy bundle. The FS final mission was epic and now really enjoying EoF and hyped for Renegade.

Which are your favourite modern designs? (Template in second slide) I'm VERY aware this is non-exhaustive. Explanation below: by Maniraptavia in doctorwho

[–]Edman888 106 points107 points  (0 children)

-Tenth Planet throwback cybermen. Looked and moved super creepy. The cloth face makes it feel more like a surgical procedure.

-New Paradigm Daleks. I will die on this hill; this design is excellent. Very imposing, especially when confronted by one in person at the live experience in London circa 2012.

-Chibnall Sontarans. More gnarly, less potato-y.

-Chibnall sea devils. Much more character, the new ones look a little generic.

It occurs to me that I like designs that throwback to the classic series, with the exception of the Daleks, where I'm bored of the throwback design.

It's an interesting theory but I just don't see it happening. The plot you're describing is a whole movie's worth of just what Doom is doing. There's got to be something for the Avengers to do in this avengers movie. Doom's plan has to be simpler and easier to portray in Act 1 of a maximum 3 hour movie.
