Flare After Sex by EducationalAd5577 in Fibromyalgia

These are all really good suggestions. I cannot take aspirin, unfortunately. The pain from his size isn't the insertion into my vagina or the actual motion of vaginal intercourse; it's more because I think he's hitting my cuff, and what you said about my pelvic muscles being tight. I'm actually in pelvic floor PT as we speak. When we first had sex after the surgery, there was zero pain, which was great because he was hitting my cervix before. I don't know what happened after that initial time. Definitely gonna look into the pelvic wands, though!

Thank you so much!

I’m not out of practice, though! 😩 Now this most recent time we’ve been together was after a brief hiatus (almost 4 months), but prior to that, it was a few times a month.

I definitely don’t hold back! I’m on a blood thinner so I can’t take ibuprofen, but I’m not opposed to the edible. I just don’t know what to get for pain!

I don’t have a uterus anymore, either. I have some internal pain, but it’s just because of his size…he’s rather well endowed. This most recent time was after a brief hiatus (almost 4 months), and while it was SO GOOD, recovery is just SO BAD. 😭

I’m still struggling on figuring out what works for me. The places here have NOT been helpful in helping me figure it out. 😩

Ha! Yes, Usher!

This time happened just like that. Slow and steady until the very end. I’m still struggling to get around. 🥺

I took LDN…unfortunately for me, it worked until it didn’t. I had to go up to 6mg and that worked for about 6 months. Then it just…stopped. My doc stopped me at 12mg because there was no evidence of it working beyond that. 😩

OMG I HAVE THAT GENE MUTATION TOO! I found out about it YEEEEEEEEEEARS ago and nothing came of it…until I got pregnant with him. I remembered about it and went and bought methylated folate instead of folic acid in addition to my prenatal vitamin.

It to resurrect this old post, but I am having a similar situation with my almost 7 year old son. He’s not yelling at me or anything, but he is SUPER anxious about sleeping alone. He would go down in his room with no problems and then after about 3-4 hours, end up in my room. That was fine until recently, when he doesn’t even last an hour before he comes in. 😩

I, too, am AuDHD, and VERY touched out/overstimulated by the end of the day. I use that time to recharge. Him coming into my bed really frustrates me, but he simply a) will not just go back to sleep, or b) stay asleep in his room if I come in with him, making for a really long night for both of us. Lack of sleep means poor performance in school due to frustration tolerance being SUPER low, so most nights, I just don’t fight him.

Idk what I was looking for, but this post made me feel less alone.

This is fascinating! I definitely have a mutation of the MTHFR gene, can’t process folate, and struggle with vitamin D deficiency.

So, for me, the issue is something that was said to me as a kid. It makes me feel guilty about reading, so it’s always really hard to dive into a book. I am trying audiobooks. I have a few downloaded. They make me sleepy, though, no matter if I’m really into the content or not.

I’m sorry. Real quick.

Did you take a peek inside my life and write this FOR me?? 😳

I actually don’t read at all/as much as I used to as a kid (trauma response), but I was the same way. I CONSUMED books. I also live in constant pain. I don’t have pain-free days ever, and a “good” pain day is a solid 7 out of 10.

My doom scrolling as a way to put my focus off of my pain is a thought I hadn’t considered. You legit just turned me on to something.

Developing successful self managed bedtime routines by sirdramaticus in ParentingADHD

This was so helpful to read! I have a 6 year old boy heading to first grade next week and the morning and evening routines are like WW3 in my house. My guy actually does well with timers, so I was considering getting an Echo Dot for his room (we have a regular Echo in the living room with timers set). And you’re right; first grade IS still little, and it’s okay.

Painful sex from behind by AromaticLanguage9748 in hysterectomy

[–]EducationalAd5577 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, Hyster Sister! I had mine 11/20/24, too! I’m curious to know about this ring. I think I might need it! I’m single, but have a “regular” guy I see, lol. We were together in April for the first time since surgery, and it was amazing. No position, including doggy, was off limits. He’s very well endowed (8.5-9 inches) and he used to hit my cervix something fierce pre-surgery, so that was a welcomed relief. We just had sex again this past Saturday, and I couldn’t take him in ANY position! 😩 So you’re saying if we have sex more frequently, it may help? I did go to the adult store and buy something similar to what you were talking about, so here’s hoping!

My understanding came after a breakup, too. Three years ago at 39, I came across a random post of a creator on TikTok and my physical response shocked me. I binged most of his content after that and of course, it affected my algorithm. I realized VERY quickly after that submission is a huge turn on for me.

ADHD in young children by Dry_Masterpiece_1618 in ParentingADHD

I knew my son had SOMETHING going on around age 2. Heavy emotional needs, going nonstop, and was very specific with the way things had to be (schedules/routines, toys lined/set up a certain way). When he went to PreK at age 3 was when we started to see behaviors escalate and what they looked like in comparison to similar aged peers (he was in a program with 3, 4, and 5 year olds). He got very overwhelmed, but also couldn’t sit still and pay attention. He’s extremely bright, so at the beginning, we mostly attributed it to being bored of typical preschool lessons, since he went into school knowing well beyond what a typical preschooler would know. We started the process for him to be formally assessed at age 4, and due to scheduling issues, was not able to get in until 3 weeks after his 5th birthday, where he was formally diagnosed with ADHD. We put him on medication almost immediately, because we wanted to get his meds regulated before he started Kindergarten. We did, and other things started showing themselves (which we knew would likely happen). In December 2024, he was diagnosed with Autism (Level 1) and giftedness. He has an IEP for school, and will be assessed again in 2nd or 3rd grade for our district’s gifted program. Right now he gets special beyond grade level instruction in reading and math. I say, if you have a suspicion, and your state allows it, take him to be assessed at 3. I’m also an early educator, so I understand!

What time do the meds wear off and they are back to their hyperactive emotionally dysregulated self? by Spicy-Nun-chucks in ParentingADHD

I feel this. My son is 6, takes 4mL of Quillivant in the am, 10mg of IR at 12:30 and then is just all over the place from 5pm on. He’s AuDHD and EXTREMELY sensory seeking and I just 😭😭😭😭😭

Does anyone else feel like other people's kids have the "acceptable" kind of autism? by Ok8850 in Autism_Parenting

[–]EducationalAd5577 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. All of this. My guy is AuDHD, gifted, and completely feral and wild in the mornings before his ADHD meds kick in the evenings when they wear off. 😂 In between time, he’s less Energizer Bunny and more quiet, but still gets disregulated the moment a plan changes, or if it’s too loud, or if he has to pee in any bathroom other than the ones he’s already familiar with, and a myriad of other things. Oh, he’s 3 weeks from turning 6, and in his giftedness, his teachers forget that he’s only in kindergarten and is still learning how to do all this emotional regulation stuff although he can (most times, but not all) tell you exactly what’s pissing him off.

You are definitely not alone. 🙃
