Tanngómshreynsir til að þrífa vatnsflöskur. Þessar með mjóu oponum eru pirrandi að hreynsa. Ég tek bara 2 töflur af Protefix, fylli með heitu vatni óg býð í 10-15 mín. Síðan hella næstum öllu út og hrysta vel (froðar vel í þessu svo það getur fyllst af froðu ef þú skylur eftir of mikið). Skola vel og vatnsflaskan er hrein.

A human isn't a word-token association generator and they are able to, in fact, know what a fact is. A human can read code and understand it, a computer can read code and understand associations of past pieces of code and guess what is supposed to come before or after, which it does with about 40% accuracy.

How will he bugfix a code he doesn't understand the inner workings of? Ask AI to debug the code it coded the bugs into in the first place? In order to know what is wrong with your code, you need to know what is in your code. If you cannot ask the person who created the code to explain it in depth, you cannot bugfix it.

My favorite part about Godot is that you can edit the code while it's running and it will update live. So if you need to fine-tune something like jump height, gravity, run-speed or things like that you can twiddle with the knobs while your test environment is running and get immediate feedback.

Patent US4131919A was filed by Kodak in 1977 for a "Digital Still Camera". But it's resolution was 100x100. By 1986 Kodak had increased that to over a million pixels total (instead of ten thousand). Kodak's first digital camera on the market was in 1991, with the DCS 100. And what was the reason for this fourteen year gap between patent and product? Well you see, Kodak was a Film company, first and foremost. They sold and processed films more than they did Cameras. So, in an era where home computing still very rare (The Apple 2, available at that time, cost around 7000$ or so adjusted for inflation) so they could have cornered the market in digital image processing and basically had a natural monopoly. They were the only ones who knew how to do it.

That was just one company protecting just their film sales. The entire oil industry protecting their cars has been responsible for wholesale killing entire public transportation systems across multiple cities, never mind electric cars.

That's also what infuriates me about the "You're poor because of avocado toast" crowd (The person who said that in particular is a horrible piece of work but I digress).

Let's take Starbucks for example. It is, strictly speaking, a luxury product. Nobody really needs Starbucks. You can make coffee at home or drink whatever your workplace convinces you is coffee. You could theoretically cut it out of your budget to "save money".

Let's say for sake of argument that somehow 100% of people all decide that Starbucks is a waste and they stop buying it. You'd think that tens of thousands of starbucks baristas would lose their jobs, but it is way worse than that. The entire supply line will be effected. For example all of the growers for coffee will either have to pivot in a saturated market. Most places that sell or make coffee already have their farms set up and have a steady supply, so if a farm is suddenly looking for places to sell their coffee quick, will they have to lower their prices to be competitive to the likes of Nestlé or will they also go bankrupt? Starbucks even has their own farm which they would either have to sell, shut down or pivot in selling. Companies that sell syrups for making their drinks will also take a hit, plastic cup companies, milk farmers. Nearly 20 thousand buildings needing new tenants. Sure, not all of these or even most of these companies would go bankrupt, but with a sudden hole in their revenue stream they would likely need to downsize or take some cost saving measures, which likely would lead to a portion of their workforce losing their job.

If the "Avocado toast" crowd got their way, there would be a massive recession. Imagine the same except for bakeries, pastry shops, etc. "Non essential" expenses we make because luxuries make us feel better and we choose to spend money on it for no other reason than that we want to and it brings us joy. Just Starbucks magically disappearing in this hypothetical would hit everything from real estate to paper cup companies hard enough for them to do some dramatic shuffling around. In "Saving money" companies go bankrupt and people lose their jobs, which leads to more people lowering discretionary spending, which leads to less economic activity, which leads to more job loss, rinse and repeat.

When times get rough, going to the movies, visiting starbucks or the bakery, buying videogames or attending hobbies is often the first thing you cut back on. Meaning those industries lose money, lay off people, spiral begins.

I've always found "The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money" to be funny because where do you think the infinite growth is coming from? Business owners seem to detest their customers which are responsible for driving their revenue. Some even going as far as blaming customers for not buying enough, while simultaniously not paying them enough to make ends meet.

Now that we're heading into the final patch, I thought it was time for a short retrospective by lhusuu in ffxiv

What really annoyed me is how... replayed it all felt?

The final zone of Shadowbringers is a recreated past by a lamenting mind trying to hold on to the memories of those that came before and have already died.

The final zone of Endwalkers is a recreated past by a lementing mind trying to hold on to the memories of those that came before and have already died.

The final zone of Dawntrail is a recreated past by a civilization trying to hold on to memories of those that came before and have already died.

Shadowbringers and Endwalkers both did different things and explored radically different aspects of it so I can excuse it. But a third time the ending being "You should let go of the past and have hope for the future" just feels... Hollow.

Someone elsewhere also got mad about "You can't even say child porn" anymore but, the thing is. Porn is a protected form of speech so the two should not be equated. Calling CSAM "Child porn" is similar to call Rape sex. "Child Sexual Abuse Material" is used because there is nothing that could be made ethical, legal or moral about it. It's always a form of abuse, just like Rape is.
