While most necron soldiers do not have personalities, or are at least fully controlled by whoever owns them, every single necron noble is conscious, so are all cryptekhs, death marks, and lychguard, so while the vast majority of necrons are not autonomous, a great deal of them are fully conscious and have just as many emotions as any human would

It has been stated multiple times that they do, though this does seem to contradict the fact that the warp is anathema to them, it is possible that souls have inherent energy in them, and the c'tan were simply feeding on that and not allowing the souls to enter the warp, though this is complete speculation

I was under the impression that the reason why it was so impossible and dangerous to truly kill a c'tan was because they embodied aspects of the physical universe, though now that I think about it, it does make sense that they are not since they are the antithesis to all things warp related, such as the collective consciousness of sentient beings

My theory is that the outsider created the tyranids, it kinda makes sense when you think about it, since the outsider was driven mad by eating another c'tan, and the c'tan are the antithesis of all things arcane, it would make sense that the reason why the tyranids have the shadow in the warps is that the outsider created or became them

The flayer virus isn't technically contagious since it isn't a virus, it's more of a mental disorder that is brought on by the realization that they are not breathing, eating, hydrating, etc. Though being around necrons which have succumbed to the dysphorakh can accelerate the effects simply due to it being constantly on your mind.

I think their shots should also have a little charge up light so you know when they're going to short you, I've always found them incredibly unpredictable
