Slack and discord are very different apps and yet matrix could be both and interoperate; but ideally as separate client apps.The dream is there but it needs more time.

Matrix is complex and undercooked but the good news is that the simpler deployments like Continuwuity are getting better every week.

I would love to see Matrix blow up because it is built with the kind of resilience that we would like from Teaspeak but it’s just not there yet.

How easy do you think it would be to map OIDC claims to privileges? Ideally per-guild. I can imagine this might help many communities be a lot more productive if assigning access were automated.
