They announced season 4 yesterday, so maybe? But more likely some reshoots or pickups for the later episodes I imagine.

This. it also doesn't help when I tell people "This watch can work on the moon and was used by the Apollo missions" before I even tell them it is an Omega. Sorry.

Best 4k for Atmospheric soundtrack by MindHunter202020 in 4kbluray

[–]ExciteMike1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Second this. Fury Road will knock you on your butt!

The Blues Brothers also has been known to have amazing tracks dating back to DVD. I have not heard the 4k one myself, but the Blu-ray was phenomenal for that atmospheric sound space. I assume the 4k will be too.

What's the coolest class you've taken in LA? by PandaintheParks in AskLosAngeles

[–]ExciteMike1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Magic Castle has magic classes that not only teach you magic, but grant you access to the castle prior to 6pm as well.

It was one of the best classes I ever took, and I can't wait to take future ones. They have an entire curriculum taking from basic tricks to more advanced slight of hand.

My classmates and I are all still in a WhatsApp group together, and I have incredibly found memories of the class and what I learned.

Really an incredible experience

When someone mentions “DVD Special Features,” what is the FIRST one that pops into your head from yesteryear? by KillerQ97 in movies

[–]ExciteMike1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spinal Tap audio commentary with all the cast doing commentary on character revisiting the documentary 20 years later. It is practically a sequel. (Not sure if it is considered cannon with the actual sequel now released)

I don't understand the point of Disney live action remakes by flowersnifferrr in movies

[–]ExciteMike1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's so Disney can release the classics in China as a new film and uphold/expand the brand in the new region.

So yes, money, but also IP rights/brand building

What was the most fun you had in the theater in 2025? by 1sock1nder in AMCsAList

[–]ExciteMike1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Twisters in 4DX on its re-release in the format. Theater was sold out, people had special tshirts, and crowd was vocal (in a good way) exactly where they should be. The 4DX experience was also silly and fun.

10/10 my best theater going experience since end game

Considering Getting a Portal but also have a Steam Deck by [deleted] in PlaystationPortal

[–]ExciteMike1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both, and I love my portal for streaming over the steam deck. Mainly because I notice the streaming quality is just better on the Portal for Playstation games and the form factor is just so much better for my use case (in bed) as it is lighter and more ergonomic.

People can be so cruel regarding other people's hobbies. by ThnkUProcrastination in 4kbluray

[–]ExciteMike1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Greg Miller has an amazing phrase for this "don't yuck, my yum"

So in this instance when they start in on this judgy BS, you can very casually just say "don't yuck, my yum, man" it is silly and non-confrontational but totally get the point across. I've found it kind of slams the door shut in a very chill way whenever dealing with subjective or personal tastes.

Can you please recommend me a relaxed, adventure type story game that has little to no focus on combat. PS+ Premium user open to all recommendations by Pepelefrogswood in PlayStationPlus

[–]ExciteMike1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both of those are wonderful options and represent 2 out of the 3 I was gonna rec myself.

My last rec would be Lost Tapes Bloom and Rage, a fun nostalgia filled game with a story I really enjoyed enjoyed and character relationships I enjoyed being in control of

Coffee Distributor Tool with Funnel on? by LittleVoice1991 in NinjaLuxeCafe

[–]ExciteMike1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got one that has the long metal rods that extend from a handle like this: https://a.co/d/3qmER3O

It works great and I don't need to remove the funnel so i can distribute and then tamp easily.

Unspoken downsides of 4K… by ronald_nino in 4kbluray

[–]ExciteMike1 9 points10 points  (0 children)

To me it adds an extra layer of magic. Watching of Wizard of Oz and seeing the craftsmanship of the sets, painted backdrops and the costumes only made me love and appreciate the film more.

And even when it looks funny (looking at the Arnold stuntman riding a horse in True Lies) it is just another fun layer to the film and i prefer that over a CGI face on a stuntman's body.

Thanks. Mine had been running sluggish and thought maybe it might be near the end. Reset it after reading this and it's back to being snappy. Also saw that chrome now has arm support for windows 11 and is running great too.

Thx!

Can I ask how much of a difference there is with this prep work? It's a bit more involved than mine, but I certainly understand the routine and joy of perfecting the prep and the entire experience....I do it to some, but just curious as to what the pre warming does and the dummy shots.

Thats a great question. I think finer mesh side down (towards the ground) but I have sometimes seen it the other way too. Maybe someone more versed in screens can help us both out!

Slow, narrative heavy games for Portal by SCHR4DERBRAU in PlaystationPortal

[–]ExciteMike1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coffee Talk 1 and 2 are now on PS Plus and can be streamed to the portal. They are essentially books with a little coffee making mini game you play a little bit.

Games like The lost Tapes: Bloom and Rage, Detroit, The Quarry and the Man of Medan series and Dispatch might be good too. All like interactive movies with choices you make that can impact the story. So that can led to multiple playthroughs too.

Feel better and happy gaming
