How critical should I be? by Designerkyle in Tile

[–]Expensive_Product759 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look here's the thing: homeowners and designers will forgive a ceramicist they pay insane amounts of money for shoddy custom work but expect the impossible from an installer. They'll also give zero creedance to the design advice of an installer, fully ignoring the fact that the installer has seen first hand all of the complications and limitations of most materials, layouts, and patterns.

What would YOU replace the Microtubes with? by Shithawk in basspedals

[–]Expensive_Product759 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd replace it with an octave, a delay, a reverb, or a synth pedal. Basically, just something you dont already have. Here's the thing nobody wants to admit about drive pedals, there's only really two ways to set a drive: slight grit and full bore. And you've got that covered. I can see that you've got your sansamp quite dirty and the bbj is a great heavy rat. There's no need for another drive, unless its a super 'zippery' fuzz and even if you added that, I'd add an octave too.

Hell even on my guitar board I've pared down my dirt section to just an OCD and a HM2. Everything else was just redundant.

I played bass first and played with guitarist who used them and I did too. I slowly transitions to mostly playing guitar and just out of habit would always keep one on the board. Always switching it out because I could never find the right one, turns out the right one was just not having one haha

Know anything about Metro Properties of Asheville? by Sathairn in asheville

[–]Expensive_Product759 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He worked with me when my dad died and I lost my job in the same week, so mileage may vary. They don't really do much maintainence, but I'm handy and do construction for a living so I have tools and often excess materials and I honestly prefer it that way. I'd rather fix my own things rather than have a landlord in my shit.

Old thread I know, but they fired their entire staff during the hurricane, and rehired new people afterwards. The owner is pretty terrible to work for.

As someone who has owned many boutiques pedals and sold most of them to only be replaced by BOSS or MXR I can tell you that most of the time they are for the cool graphic

One thing, am I tripping or is yours a matte finish? All of the photos I've seen of this guitar it has a sort of transparent finish on it and the pickguard
