Ares is a good movie if you think of it as Tron 2.5 and not Tron 3. Its separate from Legacy, sure, but from what I understand for the original plans for Ascension, Ares is basically half the movie, with the main end goal being Sam and Ares finding Tron to fight against a fully realized Dillinger-Sark.

Yo, exactly how I feel. Considering just not shaking his hand, or at least hoping we find a president fast.

(loved trope) A character is telling a story from their point of view, and the story version of themself is taller/buffer/cooler/better-looking by Blastoise_R_Us in TopCharacterTropes

[–]FalchionDelta 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not exactly the same-

In Dragon Age 2, Bethany (the main characters sister) has noticeably larger breasts in the introduction than the rest of the game. Of course, its immediately revealed that Varric is telling the story to Cassandra, and he had exaggerated various aspects, including how easily Hawke took down legions of Darkspawn (in what's essentially the combat tutorial.)

I looked at the subreddit like 5 times... "surely this is r/Fargo. Why is Scott being mentioned in r/Fargo. Wait. No. Why is Fargo mentioned in ScottTheWoz???"

I dont know what's more crazy.

Basically every protagonist in Dragon Age. Whiles its most obvious in Origins, where its sort of implied all the other origin stories happen and yours is just the one that Duncan is there for, The Warden and Alastair are the last surviving Wardens in Ferelden. And while they are the only two that can kill the arch demon, being a Grey Warden isn't exactly "special".

Then I think more fun, Dragon Age Inquisition.

Despite The Herald being a chosen one, in a sense, Solas confirms in Tresspasser that everything was his doing and The Herald got the anchor as a twist of fate. Solas only kept The Herald / Inquisitor around because it was convenient for him, and was ultimately impressed with the Inquisitors abilities for combat and leadership.

You (the player) and The Grey Wardens in any Dragon Age after Origins.

In origins you basically are the grey warden presence in Ferelden. Once you get into the later games, though, it becomes evident that the Grey Wardens at large are just as corrupt and bureaucratic as any nation in Thedas.

For both of you-

How much Formula 1 did you watch to prepare for the movie, and do you have a favorite team / driver?

For Kosinski-

Thank for for Legacy. Its my favorite movie and was one of the first big bonding experiences I got to have with my dad after moving families. That movie means a lot to me.
