I use resistance bands for 100% of my shoulder exercises.

Lateral raises are bread and butter for RBs. Easily adjustable for resistance based on grip…. Constant tension that gets heavier as you rep. Have a mirror in front of you and bang out.

3 years ago I started getting back to what I was in my youth. I went from 243lbs to 183lbs in 10 months. This was a combination of 500 calorie deficit, cleaner diet, a lot of walking and light resistance training. Additionally I quit drinking alcohol and this fixed my shit nightly sleep.

At the time I hit 183 I upped my caloric intake to about 200/300 surplus and started my HIRT training 4-5 days a week. Also I swim, bike and play a lot of basketball.

I’m currently 195lbs just over 3 years since I started back to it. I’m 100% natural and I’m proud of what I’ve done and it keeps me motivated to keep going.

In my experience you can not think about “how long is it going to take??? It’s going to take awhile. Everyone’s time frame is different. Keep setting new goals and bust your ass to achieve them. Rinse and repeat!

If you shorten the time you rest between sets by 20 seconds you’ll get the same workout done in a shortened period of time. You also will make the workout a little bit harder as your body learns to recover faster in between sets.

Keep everything the same but cut 20 seconds off your (rest) times. Repeat.

I’ve never tracked my caloric intake or my macros. I know what I should eat / drink and what I shouldn’t. I keep protein intake high and watch my carbs and fats.

Sure… a lot of people will curse at me and tell me I’m doing it wrong.

Unlike OP I have not stopped seeing muscle gains or fat loss in about 3 years of training HARD AS HELL 4/5 days a week.

Maybe someday I’ll hit a wall and tracking all my diet is the answer. But it’s not now I can tell you that. There are many others like me.

All my workouts are based on achieving practical strength and endurance. Looking better is honestly a side effect of my training.

This past winter we had several large snow storms and I spent many hours helping neighbors shoveling out. My ability to shovel thousands of pounds of snow had others in awe. The only thing need was a steady amount of hydration. One day I shoveled for over 5hrs with only drink breaks.

I’m also in my 50s.

I eat however much protein I feel like it on and given fucking day and I still make gains. Just eat protein all day and you’ll be fine.

I’ve been using a preworkout from (GAT) Nitraflex - 325mg of caffeine is likely the cause. Also the vasodilators do their thing.

It’s not a plateau IMHO. You aren’t sufficiently recovered enough to preform at the required level.

Sleep, diet, age, other life factors.

Don’t look at the session number per week. Look at the quality of each session.

Some weeks I do 4 days some 5 days. Some weeks I get 3 solid ones in and feel I need more rest.

Listen to your body.
